No sir JP, I got those loaded. Weird b/c I'm certain this table worked in the past. I'm guessing another VPX 10.6 beta issue perhaps? Is there a script line maybe missing? I searched the script on a working table for anything with the word coin in it but nothing jumped out at me.

Try to reset the ROM:
Press the 7 key to open the menu,
when the menu appears, press the left flipper,
press 1 to reset, and press 1 again,
press F3 to reset the game, play.

No dice. This is really odd. I even tried replacing with a fresh download of the table but no change.

Not sure if I missed this in the thread so forgive me if I did, but when I insert coin, it does not add credits. Also, it won't start a game either. Running vpx 10.6 beta

Had the same problem. Ultimately gave up on it

I guess you forgot the nvram files ready configured to accept coins? They are in the essential files menu. Just unpack them in the NVRAM folder.

Ahhh...didn’t know about that. Thanks JP!

I just don't understand why it would work for someone else but not me? I did re-load the current set of NVRAM files just to be sure, but they are all there. the DMD factory reset dn work either.

So. You don't need it but your friend does ?? Well, check you PM.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Same problem here.  Am running VPX 10.6 .3751.  Tried reloading nvram and resetting the ROM, but still doesn't add credits.

Can't add credits, so can't play the game.  When I push the coin button, it makes the coin noise, but it doesn't register a credit.  Have tried replacing the nvram files and re-downloading the ROM, and resetting the ROM per kiwi's note, but no change.

Try using the 3 key on keyboard instead of 5 key to add coins.

Alot of Gottlieb tables use the 3 key for coin insert.

I had issues with this table from what I remember...this might help found it in another forum

After the self test and when it says Game Over, Press 7, Wait for it to show you the menu with bookkeeping, adjustments, selftest, etc - press left flipper 3 times to move the highlight to adjustments, press right flipper to select that option, press 1, press 1, then quit and replay the table and you have your nvram set to accept coins, etc."

To make it easier for all, there was a package of NVRAM files put together that are Pre-initialized NVRAM files for Bally MPU A084-91786-AH06 (6803) and Gottlieb System 3 VPM Tables to accept coins.

Both of the Gottlieb Super Mario tables are part of this collection.

The only way I got it to work was pushing the '3' button on the keyboard.  But since I have a cabinet, that doesn't work too well.  So I finally figured out the menu system and set it to free play.  Thanks for the help, everyone!

Try this...

Here is a code revision provided by 32Assassin:

Open the VPMKeys.VBS file (Open with Notepad) and change lines 23 to 26  to set Coin 1 = 5   Coin 2 = 6  for all your tables

keyInsertCoin1   = 6   '(5)    Insert coin in slot 1
keyInsertCoin2   = 7   '(6)    Insert coin in slot 2
keyInsertCoin3   = 6   '(5)    Insert coin in slot 3
keyInsertCoin4   = 7   '(6)    Insert coin in slot 4

Now all these tables that use the 3 key for coin insert will use the 5 key.

EDIT:

If you don't feel comfortable editting VPMKeys.VBS.....

You can add this Line to table script to the Keydown sub.

So starting at Line 168 you will see this...

Sub Table1_KeyDown(ByVal KeyCode)
    If KeyDownHandler(keycode) Then Exit Sub
    If keycode = PlungerKey Then Plunger.Pullback:playsound"plungerpull"
    If KeyCode=LeftFlipperKey Then Controller.Switch(81)=1
    If KeyCode=RightFlipperKey Then Controller.Switch(82)=1
End Sub

Add the Line in red as shown below...

Sub Table1_KeyDown(ByVal KeyCode)
    If keycode=AddCreditKey then vpmTimer.pulseSW (swCoin1)
    If KeyDownHandler(keycode) Then Exit Sub
    If keycode = PlungerKey Then Plunger.Pullback:playsound"plungerpull"
    If KeyCode=LeftFlipperKey Then Controller.Switch(81)=1
    If KeyCode=RightFlipperKey Then Controller.Switch(82)=1
End Sub

Now the 5 key will work for Insert coin.

Hi 32assassin,

I tried to play your table but experience the same issue's as discussed in the support topic. Reading that, I understood that STAT has a new version of the table where the issue has been fixed.

Can you please upload the file, so everyone can play it ?

Thanks,

Egon :-)
