Hey guys, I need help from experience table builders to figure this one out. I'm slowly learning how to create tables by modifying some of my favorites.

I'm making some changes to Super Mario Bros FS (http://www.vpforums....s&showfile=3577) and I'm changing the ramps to alpha ramps. All went well and the ramps look really fantastic except where the castle toy stands in front of the right green ramp. This is what it looks like:

The castle toy is placed on table via an EMReel. It all looks good if the ramp is solid or acrylic. The castle correctly overlaps the ramp but when the ramp changes to acrylic this happens. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Ok, so I ended up figuring out this one from myself. Here's what I did in case it's useful for anyone else.

Apparently, alpha ramps always appear in front of EMReels in VP. Not sure if it's a feature or bug. In any case, the only solution I could find was to place a ramp or a wall that would cover the alpha ramp with a similar shape to the castle toy. So effectively, this wall or ramp would block the ramp and the EMReel would correctly stand over it and create the right illusion.

I ultimately went for a ramp with an image applied that was similar to the cutout of the castle. Maybe not the best solution but it was what was under the grasp of my still poor table editing skills.

Anyway, I'm just curious to what the best solution would be. Any experienced table builders out there that care to weigh in? Maybe the right solution would just be to get rid of the EMReel altogether and mimic the same behavior of the castle with some other type of object?

EMReels must always have a wall under, at the right height, otherwise the ball will move on top of them. It has been always like this. That's another reason why using a ramps is much better now.

The only other solution would be to create a dropwall animation or alpha ramp animation, which would require cutting each frame from the castle animation
