I take that back it does seem to set PosX/PosY and DMDColor. It doesn't set height/width via the script.

I am using Windows 10
I just tried it on my set up and the height/width work fine but I am also using the latest UltraDMD

What happens if you manually change the size in the Windows registry
I'm assuming you have tried a few different games

Yes. I am able to manually set the  h/w reg values and they work when manually set.

The script I posted will not set those values.

It may be table specific issue. It's not working with the KISS Tribute table.

Before adding search the script to make sure it’s not already in there somewhere

Yah, looked for that already.

*** I moved the script to just below:

Option Explicit

Randomize

and now it is working. Bizarre.

Ok so i was trying to use this, on one of the few UltraDMD, non flexDMD table i have

While the script works, it only works on the virtual UltraDMD window (which i normally have hidden, cause i dont need 2 and you cant hide the normal one)
On the real UltraDMD window, nothing changes at all about it.

The virtual window listens to the script fine, if i tell it that it is 800X600 and starts at position 1440 h, it does just exactly that
the main window though just sits in the global position, at the global size.

Now i would be fine with using the virtual ultraDMD window, if someone could tell me how to have it not show the main one then

or how to have the script position and size the main as opposed to the virtual?

Not sure if you ever sorted this but by 'main one' do you mean the default WinDMD provided by pinMame?

There are two ways to get rid of it. In script set .hidden=1, you should find .hidden somewhere in the script already

sometimes it is assigned to a variable which in my testing sometimes results in it not being turned off (ie. set to 0)

Also you can look in the registry, for tables with Roms, and you need to set key WinDMD=0 or if Freezy is being used, PinDMD=0.

I have issues with tables where both are set to on but my rig has been around a long time so I just know I have to go in an

set one or both of them to zero. Some tables don't use DMD at all so that's when you need both set to zero.

Also some tables I find perform better with pinMame DMD (WinDMD) instead of Freezy(PinDMD). Try each one according to

taste and need.

i would up just tossing ultraDMD entirely in favor of flexDMD

it just does what you tell it to, no fighting

I *think* you run the ultradmdui.exe program and that resets it. - this is an old thread -- go grab flexdmd and upgrade :-)
