Thanks for the info, wow what a slow download, have to wait about an hour I guess to complete download.  Hope it actually looks ok, not expecting too much in cab support and will only buy when they figure out how to charge for cab support as I don't want to purchase tables 3 times (I have them all for android now)

A bit of question for those Wise Guys out there : does TPA have some form of online leaderboards, and if yes, are those any good ? (i.e : tournament format ranking and such).

As far as I'm concerned, i wont buy this as long as it does not have at least some form of portrait mode. Let's say  I am a bit suspicious when a dev company throws something like 'not at launch, but later on'. Looking at how they manage to hear their deadlines whooshing by consistantly this kind of worries me... Plus Steam sales might not provide enough juice in the bank to fully finance a proper cab support in the end. Don't misunderstand : I wish them the maximum success with their PC software, just that it doesnt look to me PC user are today soooo eager to play pinball (they just seem to prefer blowing up goblins to pieces with machine guns, go figure). But let's see and hope sales figures show me how I'm dead wrong !

Anyway, I just hope Farsight's product proves to be as good as their project management skills proved to be awful...

Yep, online leaderboards, with monthly and weekly scores as well.

Portrait is coming soon, then full cabinet support to follow.

TOTAN comes free with the game.

Played a few tables.  Some are better than others.  Champion Pub is really nice,  No Good Gofers isn't.

Any news or word if we buy these current tables, that in the future, cabinet or portrait will be included as a free upgrade? Or will we have to purchase a new table set as a "special edition" cabinet mode?

I'm surprised they can't round off a bit of plastic, looks really rushed to me on T2. Yea, i'm a moaning git!

damn even the free pinball game takes over half an hour to download

I am at 47% with about twenty minutes of d/load left!

one of the slowest sites I ever saw but those graphics looked too good to pass up!

Nothing Farsight can do about that. Everything downloads from Steam's servers.

Anyone know why the PC downloads are so much slower than on iOS?  I'm assuming the poly counts and textures are much higher since iOS downloads are lightning fast.

The textures and all table assets are much higher, and the file size of the initial game is also larger due to the fact that you download every table at once so that you can demo them. On iOS, it only downloads a table if you try to load it.

I've already beat my all time score of 13 million on a real TOTAN on the free version of Pinball Arcade with a score of over 21 million in just 3 games.  (yeah, I'm not very good but I have fun!!)

I'm really hoping they (Farsight) explain how they plan to implement fullscreen/cab support soon so I can make my decision to purchase the PC version or not.

I have very high hopes here and I'm holding off buying the season pass of PRO tables until Farsight explains cabinet support fully.

I managed to get 29 mill on first 3 balls, but on the real table, no way near close to that. Just another thing thats almost impossible to replicate, is the difficulty of a real game.

40 trillion top score on leaderboard? Sure. :otvclap:

Thanx for the heads up gents...

65% so far downloaded. la la la la la.

EDIT: WOW! Very much worth the 30 minutes wait for download. I have never played before or seen other than some videos. Absolutely incredible on my laptop.

Good thing I could abuse the university network to download this today. Hooray for 1 MB/s speeds!

One thing I could already notice and majorly annoys me - the game doesn't stop taking input if it isn't the focus. So when I ALT+TAB out of the game to add funds to my Steam Wallet, the game is actually still responding to my inputs and going through the menus.

It's minor, but I really hate it when programs do that.

it's 2.7GB to download, and then all the tables are playable instantly, no need to download them separately later =)

HEY!!!

Here is something COOL!  Did you guys know that if you go into any of the tables, there is a selection at the bottom for 'try demo'.

Every table has a very playable demo.

So for those who don't want to buy the tables until a Cab version comes out...here is a cool workaround in the meanwhile for desktop!!

Cheers,

Maceman

Just got done playing a few games on TOTAN, and I have to say the graphics look great but the flippers have kind of a funky feel to them. It's almost if I am playing with Gottlieb flippers. The flipper physics are good with the exception of when you are trying to shoot the ball from the end of a flipper, which in that case, the ball goes really wide. I will still get all the tables for Pinball Arcade (eventually :D).

So there's not going to be a CD/DVD version... with all available tables?

Only this Steam version, huh?

Weird.

Either way I'm downloading now.
