Just found out that the PinBot from the Pinball Cafe in Toronto has taken up residence at the old owner's new establishment "The Stowaway" in Hamilton!  Thanks for the table, I'm going to practice before checking out the real table on Wednesday! :)

- Added B.M.P.R., tuned all table physics / rubbers, and matched / compared extensively with real life machine here at the Pinball Cafe in Toronto (sadly now closed)

The fact of the matter is i have played your table at least 40 to 50 timers now. I have not made the left ramp once. End of story.

I was getting frustrated with the left ramp too, but finally made a shot that made it all the way...  It's just a very tough shot!  Hoping to see how difficult the real table is on Wednesday night.  I believe the table I'll be playing is actually the same one from the Pinball Cafe that this VP table is based on ;)

Played the real table yesterday evening at The Stowaway in Hamilton Ontario Canada, and it felt fairly close the simulation.  That left ramp is VERY tough to hit, I only hit it a couple of times by accident with the left flipper...  Ball control actually felt a bit easier on the real table, but that might just be due to the better sense of speed and momentum that you get standing over a physical table.  One thing  I noticed is that it's nearly impossible to get the ball up to the top of the cone, not sure if the plunger spring is just a bit worn out, but I tried a few techniques to get more power and could never get the ball to the top of the cone spiral...

Did manage a few multiballs, but couldn't hit the jackpot :(

I'm still confused why so many people have problem with managing the left ramp shot. I find it to be fairly easy, actually. :hmm:

Thanx for that report Streetpreacher! I actually live 20 minutes from Hamilton so good to know another place locally to play pinball. Mountain arena on Hester has Funhouse last i was in (used to be Diner but gone)...Do they have other tables or just the one?

As you know, my original post in this thread was inquiring to how to increase flipper strength as i was having issues making the ramp, not because the mod is flawed, but because it is too hard a table for myself and in particular my younger family. It would interesting to try the one you mention and see how bad I am at that one too :)

Thanx for the info!

Cheers,

Maceman

Jason and Rachel used to own/operate The Pinball Cafe in downtown Toronto so ask him if he will be bringing more machines in.

Best Regards,

I heard that he sold everything except the PinBot table after he was forced to close the cafe...  I spoke to I guess it was Jason when I was there (he gave me a tip on hitting the jackpot), but he was a bit busy working on finishing up their space, so maybe next time I'll be able to inquire about whether they plan to bring in more games.

Small world, I just found out about this visual pinball hobby a few weeks ago, and can't believe one of the virtual tables was dialed in using the real table down the hill from me :).

And thanks for the tip on Mountain Arena, I actually live on the escarpment, so maybe I'll pop in and check out Funhouse on my way home from the gym today :)

i have no problems either however it's impossible for me to get the ball into the 2nd hole on the swirl chute it just rolls right back over it every single time.

I find that also quite difficult (as I mentioned it earlier in this thread), but actually it's possible by managing to release the ball at exactly the right moment. So I'd say, with some practice I have about a 5% success rate now :D

So it seems to be definitely more difficult than it should be but I don't remember how it was on the real table. Here, that is a real "skill" (or should I rather say, "luck") shot :)

i've managed to get it so the ball lands directly over the hole still it will not go down there. i tried to edit the table to make the hole a little bigger but i couldn't figure out how to actually select the hole. it could do with some enlarging :P

I just got around to REALLY sitting down and playing this for a couple hours. I've gotta tell ya, this MOD is right on target! I am so impressed with how you have the skill shot. The settings of the plunger mixed with the precise dimensions of the skill shot cone is just spot on. This is also coming from someone who has OWNED a Pinbot before.
Great mod, and please keep them coming my friend.
I can appreciate all the time/effort that went into this...
All the best,
Aaron
