Toxie,

One issue I found is that if you use pinsound emulation with say the doctor who pinsound package with soundmode = 2 or soundmode = 3, and have pinsound open it will work correctly.

However if you try to increase the volume or decrease the volume with the 7/8 keys it will start playing the regular ROM audio along with the pinsound audio.

I found that the pinsound audio was too low, but the ROM audio was adequate which made me find this issue.

ROM in question: dw_l2

Guys, is there anyway to fix the windows 10 Anniversary issue where the taskbar shows on top of the table when you have the DMD window showing? See this thread.

http://www.vpforums....146#entry371780

I know at least one of you guys like playing pinball on a tablet like me, and ever since the Windows 10 Anniversary update, this has been affecting my Hybrid View converted tables on my tablet. On tables where the vpinmame dmd is visible, the windows taskbar remains visible.

Gidday Rascal although not the solution you maybe wanting, I found right clicking on the taskbar > settings > Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode > On is a decent workaround.

Gidday Rascal although not the solution you maybe wanting, I found right clicking on the taskbar > settings > Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode > On is a decent workaround.

Thanks, StevOz, yeah I am using that now, but playing on the tablet with the touchscreen, the taskbar keeps unhiding as I hold the table and try to press the screen for flippers. I'm holding the tablet portrait style and the taskbar is on the left. Hmmm, perhaps I could move the taskbar to the left in landscape style and then it will be hiding on top when I hold the tablet portrait style. Hey good plan, thanks for making me think about it again.

Would still be nice to have it fixed in the next vpm compile though if possible.

So, on to the next round of PinMAME goodness (VPinMAME(64).dll and PinMAME32.exe), this time with a HUGE number of new machines and clones (which was a pain to get all included, also for Gaston to fiddle with some of the bad LTD dumps):

(unfortunately the new Votrax SC01 core is not yet up for showtime :/)

*** CORE/CPU *** Thanks to DJRobX for some of these
Support for more Stargame games added (including new sound core for MEA 8000 emulation)
Support for Playbar's Bloody Roller, very similar hardware to Stargame's Slalom Code 0.3
Joctronic works now (e.g. Walkyria, yet still no good dumps for Punky Willy, and Pin Ball is missing entirely)

Using GTS80 gen. 2 sound on Excalibur instead of gen. 3, enabling 8910 sounds (thanks to Jim Hernandez for noticing)

Fix some GTS3 DMD animations running too fast

Change some more of the timing for the idle/throttle speed code

Fix a problem when using altsound packages (like the PinSound ones) and changing the machine volume (which resulted in doubled sounds from both emulation and altsound)

Updated to zlib 1.2.11

*** ROM SUPPORT *** Thanks to Flipprojets.fr for all the GTS80b-sets (plus Free Play patches), ipdb.org, exegeta for all the LTD and Taito games and clones, tecnopinball.org, Juan

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but couldn't find a better one. Let me know if there is a better place.

I'm running VPinballX21, VPinMAME28b, and B2S in cabinet mode at 4K resolution. Nvidia driver 378.78 and .Net 4.6.2. If I try to

start a game, such as BK2K, using Nvidia Fast VSynch, I get an access violation in vpinmame.dll. I also tried using the VPM 2.9 beta

and got the same result.

Has anyone else seen this? Is more info needed? Is there more I can do to try to pinpoint what the problem is? I can set up a

development environment if necessary.

Thanks.

Yes, only with fast sync. With VSynch off or regular VSynch, I don't have the problem.

Then i fear that this is a driver bug. Maybe updating to a newer (or older) driver might fix this.

Ok, thanks toxie, I will give that a try. Any suggestion on what older driver might be worth trying? (The newer driver on the evga website appears to be corrupted.) Anything I can do to verify this is a driver problem?

I'm pretty sure its a driver problem, as all the fast sync feature does is to buffer the rendered frames in the driver itself, and pretends to the actual program (e.g. VPM and VPX) that there is no vsync enabled at all (e.g. we cannot do anything on our end at all as we do not even know about this :)).

As for the driver version: No clue at all. Simply work your way backwards until it (hopefully) works. Sorry!

Ok.

I found the latest nvidia driver, 378.92, on the nvidia site and got the same result. (It's the one on the evga site that is corrupt.)

I wanted to do Fast Synch to avoid tearing. But after thinking about it some more, I am now thinking that tearing will be very hard to see with VP, since most of the image is static. So I am going to just leave VSynch turned off and let the graphics card generate frames as quickly as it can.

Can someone please take a look at the emulation of Eight Ball Champ?  I have seen several reports that users can not make ROM adjustments using the procedures written in the tutorials forum.

For reference here is the procedure for balls per game adjustment for this table:  http://www.vpforums....ials&article=15

Here is the procedure to adjust replay levels for this table:  http://www.vpforums....ials&article=95

For some reason the enter key on the numeric keypad is not recognized when pressed.  Since the real table used a numeric keypad and that keypad had an enter key the keypad's enter key is required to assist in making adjustments.  It looks like this hasn't worked since VPinMAME 2.4.

If there is something that needs to change in that procedure please let me know.

EDIT:  Also check Bally's Lady Luck and Beat The Clock.  Those two tables also have the same adjustment procedures as Eight Ball Champ.

The Keypad-Enter contact is mapped to the "8" key in PinMAME. So just use that instead of Keypad-Enter (which I think was not assignable at the time the Bally 6803 emulation was done).
