I think I've been more than supportive of Dozers awesome work. There was nothing negative intended by my comments.

I just know that these sorts of things evolve into common bits of script that get copied from table to table. The ability to adjust the effect to taste would be a nice feature. I don't think wanting as realistic a simulation as possible should be deemed offensive.

Heya Folks,

Please don't feel as you have to moderate your views of these mods.  I'm 42. I'm not going to get all despondent and pack up my stuff and go home because folks have differing opinions about how they view these additions.

I haven't felt any negativity from DJRobX or anyone else but I welcome feedback whether it's negative or positive.  His views are good and I agree that there needs to be some balance with them as to be honest, I have to pull myself up sometimes as I could just keep adding more and more flares, halos and other bling until it chugs along at 3 FPS :)

I love a good pinball light show and am a bit of a sucker of eye candy hence the reason I'm doing these.

As time progresses I'm getting a better idea for how to make them as tasteful as possible while trying to balance realism and frame rate.

Cheers,

Dozer.

Sorry my comments were not meant to offend and I posted in haste.
I just love these awesome table mods and I am very thankful for the effort everyone puts into VP.

A big thanks to all who have woked on this table, really excellent stuff (any plans for whitewater?).  Intensity of lighting is a little too much for me, but as has already been discussed this is personal choice.

I'm having backglass server issues on all of the platinum versions of CV (also the Scared_Stiff_921_FOM - JPSalas - Dozer316 - SUNKEN - DAY table as well) .  Even though the backglass files are named exaclty the same as the tables, I get an error message:

error.png

File names here:

files.png

I don't get any issues with any other tables using B2S and can also launch the .exe files manually with no problem.

Ay ideas?  Please keep up the good work. :otvclap:

The Flasher Mod doesn't use colored GI, there's only white.  The GI options have been removed from the script, so selecting them in the platinum mod will have no effect on the flasher mod.

Hey dozer. Can I use your glass mod in monster bash?

About to do the final update for the table and I like the fading flashers and glass reflection

Thanks, but didn't help.  Still trying different approaches to find a solution.

It looks like you've selected B2S server as the controller option in the F6 menu but you don't have a directb2s file for this table in your table directory.   The .exe's  you see are not directb2s files, they are the older Rosve B2S files.  Download this http://www.vpforums....s&showfile=8744 and put it in your table directory and launch the table.   You should then get a backglass and no error message.

Just tried the table yesterday. Looks and plays awesome.

Is there a way to turn off the glass reflection portion?

I have a hard enough time fighting real glass reflection, lol, and not a big fan of adding more.

Cool mod though.

If you use DOF, another option is to turn off the startup error in B2STableSettings.xml

<B2STableSettings>
....
<ShowStartupError>0</ShowStartupError>
...
</B2STableSettings>

This allows you to keep B2S and your hardware effects going, but use alternative backglass methods.    If you don't use DOF, then it's better to leave this error on and use the correct setting or use a directb2s file as Dozer suggested.

This table is really almost perfect, very realistic gameplay and lighting! :)

I wonder if it would be possible to make the Boom Balloon a primitive with a little shaking when popping out of the playfield (same as the trolls in MM)? It would be easier to spot that it popped out! With the DX9 VP there should be no performance drop.

Add the switch on any contactor in dof setup per table. I have add many things in dof. The best thing i have added is gear motor to the spider on scared stiff. And contactor on no fear, when the head talking etc, etc :)
