For info, this problem with 9.15 is also affecting the latest version of AFM.

In this table, the ball is rolling/displayed above the flippers.

And it seems to be the same in Star Wars Trilogy. Have a close look at the flippers above the light sabers, the ball is just over it.

However, a few days ago, Koadic sent me a special version after a comment I did on another thread. It didn't work either, so I let him know... Then nothing...

Please don't take it as me ignoring you or the issue, I just don't have anything else to offer at the moment.  :unknw:

I sent that one compile to you as toxie stated in another thread that it may be due to the SSE enhancements I am including in my compiles (as the official versions have had that turned off), and was hoping it would be just that simple, but unfortunately it didn't make any difference (as you stated to me). I am not really doing much in the way of contributing any code at the moment, only providing the daily builds that toxie is providing updates for.

I have many older builds available in my dropbox folder, some starting before the official 914 version, so, if you want (or anybody else for that matter), you can always progress though the builds and see when the issue is introduced, that way it might be easier to find where the root of the problem lies. And as far as I am concerned, if someone wants to start a VP WIP beta/bug thread for the upcoming 9.1.5, I know I wouldn't have a issue with it (and wouldn't think toxie would either) but I don't have the desire or free time to do this myself at this time and keep it updated. Hell, these last couple months I haven't even had much time to do anything on some of the tables I am helping build :pardon:.

There are even a couple other big bugs that I have noticed, like the ordering of alpha ramps if anti aliasing is forced on which causes some nasty graphic anomolies, and the dramatic slow down of VP if the software fxaa is enabled on a table including primitives. Unfortunately these are way out of my scope of knowledge and would have no idea where to even start on fixing these issues (including the bug with the reels).

Thank you Koadic.

It's good to see that the problem is not ignored.

In order to avoid it on my cab, I'll try to have fplaunch starting the problematic tables (mostly T2 and AFM) with 9.14. Blur explained how to proceed in the FPlaunch thread, and I have to investigate on this.

Hi,

Just wanted to say that I had shutter/extreme lag issues on this table as the only one in my collection.

It happened on multiball, extra ball etc.

But by turning of B2S it is now solved 90/95%

Why is this? I have B2S on all tables and this is the only one I have had issues with?

Are you using the new DirectB2S or the old system?

With the new system you can download different versions with different sizes, you can also edit how often you want the lights to be refreshed, it can help a little bit to optimize the fps.

Hi,

I am using the new one (i think):

Where do I change the fps? I think it is strange that it has such a big impact. There must be a lot going on behind the scene in some situations.

You have the right version.

Click with the mouse on the backglass and press 'S' on your keyboard. A dialog window opens. Then go to "performance tuning".

Here is the link that explains all the settings:

Update 1.0.6
- New Game Play / Physics. It's now easier to load the cannon, with both flippers. The table is fast, precise and fluid.
- Added a new option in the script to hide the virtual DMD. It's for those having a real DMD on their Cab. The option is called “DMD_Hidden” and you will find it at the beginning of the script with the other options.
- ROM name has been moved at the beginning of the script with all the options. It's now easy to access.

Thank you for your continuing support !

Are there any plans of pulling another stunt like this on some new table ?

I really love this version.  I have the real table and I prefer to play this on my Virtual PinCab since the PinCab has shaker motor and external flashers that make it play awesome.  Thanks Tipoto its a masterpiece.

Thanks everyone!

Are there any plans of pulling another stunt like this on some new table ?

The simplest answer to this question is... No ;)

But there is maybe one table I'd like to recreate someday, but I didn't start anything and I don't even know if I will ever start this project in the future... ;)

It's a lot of work!

Is the New Version working with the VP 1.5 or i musst have VP 1.6

This version works from VP913 to VP916, so yes it works with VP915.

Wow, this is stunning, but I am having a problem with some black vertical lines.

I am using nVidia driver 270.61 with windows xp, VP 915 and I get good performance from this table.

EDIT: I just tried VP916 (rev 581) and have the same exact issue.

Here is a cropped screenshot to demonstrate. Looks like an alignment issue with a few reels on my rig?
