let me think, it was earlier, at a SHARP PC 1401 LCD Game, where you have a Pixel move through "Pixels" ... and: i won ;)

At last!   This and Motordome are really the last two tables I have been waiting to be completed.  I haven't fired up my cab since August, and now it's time to fire it back up and finally play this one! I can't wait for Motorodome.  Some other ones I had graphics for but have lost over time:

Mach 2

X Force (Rom problem though)

Scramble (My vp9 table has a lot of the graphics I used)

Aftor (My images are on vpuniverse)

Vampire Bally 1971 (Check out my vp9 table)

Really I think that's it for my dream list.  I keep my eyes open on local marketplaces, hoping these tables pop up for sale so I can get graphics for them.

Some graphics I helped grabbed were for Secret Service, Lochness Monster, and Mini Gold (I came across the golfer at the pinball museum in Asbury Nj, and they took the glass off and get as many pictures as I wanted).  I believe I also helped get some contact info for terrific lake.  What I'm getting at, I don't have much time to recreate and work on tables anymore due to a promotion, but, if there are any tables you are looking for info or resources on, send me a message, and I will keep an eye on them and track them down.

Can't wait to try!   Great work JP and Halen!

Hi again,

another finding from playing the games yesterday night. The adjustment of ball per game with the dip switch menu works, but only until leaving and reloading the table. The high score is correctly memorized, however the balls per game setting returns to the 3 ball default setting. Has anyone an idea how this can be fixed?

Thanks in advance, Christian.

That means, when you set to 5 Balls, it does not save HiScore ?

Did you try that with a new fresh bmx.nv File too ?

No, when I set the game to 5-ball it saves the highscore correctly, BUT when reloaded it plays 3-ball, high score remains correctly. This happens with a new *.nv as well. It has to do with saving and loading the *.nv file. I'll check later if it happens at saving or loading.

Now I have checked that, how?

I set BMX to 5-ball - worked.

I renamed the *.nv to use it with Grand Slam.

I played Grand Slam - played 5-ball.

-> the mistake is at loading the *.nv into BMX at emulation start. But what can be a fix for that, or can anyone write a patch?

Ok. The table plays without any sound except the rolling ball sounds etc - how do I get the table sounds to work? F1 shows music/sound is on.

JP, i offered up our Hardbody table a while back if you wanted to use it for a build for this table.  I thought it turned out very nice since i had the real table sitting right next to it.  That table, down to the physics and the looks turned out more authentic then i could have imagined.  We got the physics, looks and sound of the magnasave flex lanes really nice.  If you want to use it still for a mod i would be honored.  If you havent played hardbody give it a run.  thanks

Ok. The table plays without any sound except the rolling ball sounds etc - how do I get the table sounds to work? F1 shows music/sound is on.

To adjust volume on rom sounds...

First you need the PinMAME window to show for this volume adjustment to work, so go to Line 68 in the table script and comment out VarHidden by placing an apostrophy in front of it. Then add a zero in front of the apostrophy so it looks like this..

Change from this..

        .Hidden = VarHidden

to this..

        .Hidden = 0'VarHidden

capture2120_t.png

Now start table and the PinMAME window will appear.

Now Left-Click on the PinMAME window with your mouse, and hit the Tilde key on your keyboard. (The key to left of the 1 key)

This will bring up Rom Volume options which can be toggled using left and right arrow keys. Press right arrow to raise volume.

Press down arrow for more sound options.

capture399_t.png

This is called the Tilde Key method. The tables that use this method had volume knobs inside of the cabinet.

If you don't see any sound options when trying this, then you need to find rom that has the sounds files included in zip.

After making your adjustments, remove the zero and apostrophy in script and you are good to go.

I just finished playing and I loved every minute of it! Great job to all those involved. I also believe someone a while back grabbed my space hawks reference photos. I hope so, because that was a simple reskin of cybernaught. I also how someone grabbed them, because there were a lot of photos and I’m not sure I have them still!

For all other Switches, see here: https://www.ipdb.org..._BMX_Manual.pdf

Sorry, of course: Press F 6 , above

I put a checkmark in DIP 31 and left 32 without a check to get 5 balls but it still only plays 3.

Thank you. I followed your instructions and while I didn't get any sound level options or see the VPINMAME appear - I have sound.

But you have to Restart VPM (press F3) / or restart Table ... you did that ?

Well, i can't say what happens, i only have these Informations from PDF, did you try another ROM ?
There are 2 ROMS here, one with FreePlay ... and another is on VPU.

Maybe something is broken, at the one which you use.

I completely forgot about it :) The easiest part for me is to build the table in VPX, so once I got the playfield and plastics from Halen I simply built the table in a couple of days :) But I'll take a look at your table :)

About Bally tables and not listening to any sound effects or music then remember to turn on the samples in the vpinmame setup.exe (or F1 while playing) and to copy the zip file from the menu Getting Started > Essential Files > Sound Samples to the Samples folder.

Cool concept in this table. The outlane/inlane switch is great, driving you nuts at first. :)

Aren't these included in the VPX install? I don't remember to have downloaded them manually, but I have them. Anyways, you are the older hand man here ;)
