Hi Karlor!

The updates are for the moment on small details to get as close as possible to reality with the data found if and there and especially the collaboration of the pincabistors (proposals and requests).

Pincably!

can you bumpmap the screws?

Hi wiesshunt.

This is real! I was thinking this is an odd theme for a 'joke' table theme... but.. its real.... SLOWWWWW day in the pinball factory when your bosses come in and the idea you pitch is this......

I will say its awesome that it exists and is real lol and that there's a great VPX version for us to try!.. For a vanity project you cant knock it too much lol most of us would probably love a personally themed pinball table so good on him :D

Yes, there were even more.

We're still on the hunt for

Arnon Milchan https://www.ipdb.org...ine.cgi?id=4340

Joel Silver https://www.ipdb.org...ine.cgi?id=4348

I'd rather not force a table into the world that induces projectile vomiting and paranoid schizophrenia

not up for that responsibility, i'm good with letting someone else be the theme

This type of table reminded me of the Bill Paxton table.

https://www.benheck....paxton-pinball/

And there is a vp version available for download made by Shoopity..

https://www.vpforums...789#entry229568

Would love to see all these rare tables in VPX!!

Joel Silver https://www.ipdb.org...ine.cgi?id=4348

I love rare weird one-off tables!.. Any idea about ROMs for those 2 tables? I assume resources are basically nonexistent?

Mine would be about sitting around smoking cigarettes, swilling coffee, watching 1990's pro-wrestling and using the toilet more often then is convenient.. LOTS of toilet shots in my game..

Finished the Phone spinner:

spinner-PHONE-FIN.png

The odd thing is the sound lines are going out of the microphone, now this could be because the sound lines wouldn't fit in the proper spot?.. Im thinking the point of the table is Aaron Spelling is constantly on the phone pitching ideas and smoking his pipe while occasionally propositioning hookers...

So the balls are his 'ideas' and you gotta send that around to make TV/Movies hits.. that's why its him and his partner down on the sling shots, so the 'idea' gets tossed back and forth before being ejected up or down... and so the sound lines aren't coming out of the wrong spot, Im thinking its supposed to be him yelling INTO the phone constantly..

Iv thought about this more then I should lol..

This one looks kinda cool.. wish there was more info..

Quick and dirty Sling shots:

JS-SLingshots.png
Playfield:

JS-Playfield-piece.png

I've created a checklist for finished items for Joel Silver, The Pinball:

Crappy Slingshots

Small Crappy chunk of playfield

EVERYTHING ELSE

Also found another weird one called "Wiley's Punball: Only One Earth". Some artsy fartsy guy reskinned an EM and trendies lost their S#$@ over it and paid like $120K for it.. Even pictures seem scarce but haven't searched much.

Found this site but cant save the playfield image.. if anyone could grab the high res pics for me I might take a swing at it for fun...

http://www.artnet.co...FftWSP8I1zTxbw2

More Willy info:

https://worthly.com/...achine-punball/

More one-offs that need looking into, dude named Joe Kaminkow made some rares. Several look interesting, he even did Loch Ness:

Yes, the only other 'real' interesting one would be Kabuki on that list, i think the others did not really change the ROMs in a substantial way.

Who knows, maybe at some point we're lucky, like we were with the recent Michael Jordan ROM dump??

Yes that one was cool! I wonder what happened to some of these originals or why they never made it out.... I would love to try them all.  I wonder if any of the people who worked on them back then have any of that in old shoe box or something..

How did the MJ ROM come into use? DId someone have the table? Thats so sweet it got dumped.. Do you have to pull the chips to dump the ROMs or can you do it in the machine somehow?.. I wonder if we could get a hold of Kaminkow and see if hes got any ROMs buried in his office/desks/attic/trunk...

Someone most likely had at least the controller, if not a working table

Do you have to pull the chips to dump the ROMs or can you do it in the machine somehow?..

Depends on the controller and what design/vintage it is

I wonder if we could get a hold of Kaminkow and see if hes got any ROMs buried in his office/desks/attic/trunk...

The ROM would generally be proprietary intellectual property of the manufacturer
If i worked for Williams and designed a table on their dime, released or not, it would belong to Williams, unless there was some agreement otherwise.
So even if i had the code in a desk drawer (doubtful) i may not be legally allowed to share it with anyone.
So your only option might be to pull it off of a controller loaded with it.

Unless i worked for Gottlieb, then it's

All your ROMs are belong to us

I'm going to have to write some letters. I got stamps lol... and hit them with the idea that its going to go extinct basically if they don't release the ROMs (or just leave them on their desk or slip them under the door.. something ;) ) as it could be very likely no one else has them, or the existing 1 or 2 sets in the wild could go tits up or fry and that this would enshrine their great works forever digitally for everyone to enjoy.. and were not hustling them or selling stuff.. that would get me to at least consider it if I was them, and its true so don't know unless you try :)

This sort of reminds me of a recent thing I saw about Al Lowe (Old School PC game GOD).. He's the man lol but dude had all kind of awesome old Sierra stuff just stacked in his house.. Just recently he went through it all and sold a lot of it or is working on it.. some GREAT old stuff in his hoard.. but yeah I get that its a lil different because he was the creator of most of that stuff but I mean its kinda close to the same idea with the pin ROMs.. sorta..

Been working on the star drop targets and I cant tell what the pink blob is supposed to be:

Star-2-DROP.pngAny ideas?

So just for fun I got to messing with Joel Silver playfield and did a quick fast and dirty stretch and skew for the playfield and got it pretty close! 32assassins Star Trek table is so nice that it doesn't look half bad and I even got the lights to line up fairly close lol the lower half sort of looks like a Joel Silver,The Pinball... if you squint..  I don't know but I thought it looked cool so far:

It looks like a grasping hand extending from an arm

which makes no sense.
