I'm in the same boat. I tried the VPU ROM and still no table sounds other than the rolling ball.

Make sure the rom has 4 files in it

cpu_u7.bin

If you still can't hear the rom sounds, hit F1 while table is running, and make sure Use Sound is checkmarked in the rom options.

Sorry to Necro this thread, but the rom for this table in the rom section still has no rom sound.  The rom file linked above fixes the issue.  If possible, it would be helpful to future members to update the file in the roms list here.
