You still don’t get it, gottlieb or not gottlieb, they are still not yours to distribute. Besides when the owner of the site says no, you better fucking listen.

R&D repair..... sounds like you own some kind of service business I assume. Maybe you’ve been doing it a while and you’ve gotten good at it. One day some customer comes in you’ve never seen before and starts telling you how you should do your job. How’s that gonna go over? Especially if he’s wrong! This is now 2 argumentative posts, are you trying to be a part of this community or get kicked out? No one wants anyone to leave or get kicked out, but we’ve done fairly well so far without you

Someday. Just someday. You'll be bowing down to me asking for my ROMs and I'm going to rub it in all of your dirty faces.

Now THAT'S the funniest thing I've read all day!  Normally I just sit back, get the popcorn and enjoy the show but I just had to chime in here.

Sounds to me like someone's a little thick between the ears here.  Most of the people reading this have been around the pinball community for a long time.  Most likely they have the ROMs that they need,  Most people responding have tried to reason with you but you seem to be taking this to troll levels.  Your other posts are borderline troll posts as well.  Your responses are childish.  For someone that said they were leaving this site, you sure are hanging around.  This tells me that you are trolling.

If you are truly not trolling and wish to join the community, by all means, let's move on and start over.  If you do not understand something, it's okay.  We're here to help you enjoy your stay here, not abuse you.  Even one of the Admins here tried reasoning with you and you totally missed the point of his post.

ROMs are copyrighted material.  We are simply trying to avoid a site-wide shutdown because someone is posting ROM links or bulk ROM downloaders.

Seems like mission complete, the only mostly absent Admin here has choosen to leave the link alive in the original post..ho hum...more the fool anyone that would download a .exe then execute their PC.

Yeah, no. I've removed the link twice, thought he got the concept. Mostly absent, my ass. Don't underestimate what I do here. Thanks.

This jackass has been banned for repeatedly restoring the link I removed.

Done.

Maybe it's time to implement a post minimum for the privilege of posting links in forum threads? This is something like the third "we need download packs to make it easier, here's a link to one" incident in the past month.

I would hate to have to do that. It seems less welcoming, and adds a bunch of useless posting just to get past the milestone.

This guy seemed like an extreme case. We'll see what happens in the near future, and we can discuss it then, if it becomes a problem.

Thank you to all who reported this crap. I'll be leaving this up for posterity, as well, in the hopes it helps others understand the 'pack" issues.

Fair enough, it was really just a suggestion. The only other option if it comes to it is to consider making it a "once and you're out of here, don't let that door smack you on the way out" bannable offense on the first incident.

I'm not a fan of zero tolerance, though, either. I've had everything up to, and including, death threats from members who are currently active and helpful.

There's always a resolution, if both parties are willing. In this case, there was an unwilling party, unfortunately.

If you are getting death threats over virtual pinball then this has already been allowed to go too far

That was 2011 or so. You have to have thick skin to admin a site. I'm always open to discussion.

As for what happens when a member is banned is entirely situational. We have a policy of not removing tables, as our main goal is preserving pinball AND VP history. He's definitely history. Lol
