Or watch out for hh.zip or Rev 2 Rom … :coffee1:

Another Tipp: mame hh.zip ( wowroms )

I own a Haunted House machine.

I recently built a LISY-80 board, based in part on custom PIC chips and Raspberry pi. I had all kinds of trouble getting the board to boot. I copied my game's EPROM to .bin format but that wouldn't work, the LISY board uses a 'pinmame' rom instead.

Curiously, I did end up finding it eventually, and now I have a backup system 80 MPU board now!

The ROMS are out there, you may need to do clever searches. What happened is the Intellectual Property of Gottleib is being enforced. Unfortunately, you cannot purchase a "pinmame" ROM, only an actual burned EPROM chip.

Us mere mortals on the forum cannot PM the ROMs or we will be banned, so please let us know if you were successful.

It is only a matter of time before Bally, Williams, Stern and others do the same DMCA stuff? let's hope not, most of these games are 30+ years old for god's sake.

Some... call me, Tiim...  :bye2:

VPin Cab: Bally Bow and Arrow (EM, 1975) with 3.6Ghz 6-core Intel Xeon W3960 (LGA1366), 18GB DDR-3 RAM, 250GB SATA SSD, MSI GeForce 1660TI OC, 4K Vizio 40" Playfield, Sceptre 27" 1080P Backglass, RGB DMD, 60W 8" sub and 50W 4" 2-way DMD speakers, Zebs Plunger, Zebs Lightbar PNP, Zebs 24 Output, Zebs Shaker Motor, generic open and closed frame solenoids, Williams replay knocker.

Although we all understand your plight to find these great Gottlieb roms, and everyone likes to help others in this pinball community, it is not a good idea to ask another member to blatantly break this rule in the forums, by sending the banned rom to you through a private message, as Gottlieb has requested that all their roms be removed from this site. (And all other sites as well.) Check the front page of this site, and you will see where Gottlieb asked for them to be removed.

capture398_t.png

You wouldn't go into a Police station, and hold up a sign that says.."I am looking for drugs."  Knowing that the drugs are illegal now.

Then when the inmates tell you how you might be able to find them, you hold up another sign saying.....

"This is difficult, all of the drug dealers have been eliminated, just send the drugs to me through private message."

What do you think the "Police-(Gottlieb)" would do after seeing your signs?

The inmates have tried to help you as best they can, to help you find what you need, without incriminating themselves.

STAT has mentioned or implied above, that these roms are part of the MAME collection. He actually tells you exactly what to type into Google.

Can you find MAME roms with Google?

We are just lucky Gottlieb hasn't asked all of the VP sites to remove all of the Gottlieb tables, in addition to the Gottlieb roms takedown notice!!

Not only would this wipe out the great rom controlled tables made by them, but it would also eliminate most pinball tables made before the late 70's, as Gottlieb was the leader in manufacturing EM Pinball tables during that time period and before.

Is there an option for Speech and Multiball, or do we need a MOD table for that?

I don't know anything about a version with Speech or Multiball?  Is that a thing?  The "real" table only has one ball in it..  same with my VP version.

There is a mod out there that makes it multiball and I THINK speech.  I do know of the multiball mod.  I also think TNT mentions the mods in one of their videos, but there is a video of the mods out there, I have watched them.  The original does not have either.

Yeah, sounds like a mod..  definitely not original..  I found (and sorta skimmed this)  not sure what it would take to get it into the table.. Switches and other changes to the layout would be fine..  but sounds like a mod to the rom would need to be done to truly get it to work....

Mods for sale, so not given away for free within VPinMAME. Flipprojets.fr has the sound EPROMS for sale, but they also have the samples on their website. Seems like it would be possible to script playback into the table. Multiball - that’s probably going to require the hacked rom to be dumped. Otherwise, you are looking at porting all the code to VBScript.

Not only that, but probably doing tiny little changes to the artwork to add an extra light or two and more descriptions for Multiball.

Great table only issue I found is no match enabled after game ends.

Did you try the F6 options? On these early solid state games, usually the author adds a menu accessible from F6 on your keyboard. Select MATCH ON and restart the table. I can't check mine right now but will check later.

Download the files here to fix the upstairs flippers issue. https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing

Here is the Upstairs flippers fixed. Copy the script from the New Text Document (2).txt and then paste it over the old one. Save as Haunted House (Gottlieb 1982) 1.0 Fixed. Copy just the trigger and light from the SAVE.vpx and then paste those into the Haunted House (Gottlieb 1982) 1.0 Fixed.vpx. Don’t copy and paste the wall. Under the trigger. Take your time doing this.

Works just like this now. Welcome.

I'll upload another fix later. I forgot to disabled the flippers on the play field when the ball upstairs. lol
