sorry i'm a bit out of track, i missed that one, which needs some dof effects to split the shared switches, could you do an update with that JP?

hello JP

first of all thanks for sharing the great work!

on this table the "Viper Bot" is controlled by the magnasave buttons correct? would it be possible to change it to work with the flipper buttons, with the left button controlling the direction of the spin and the right button shooting the ball?

thanks hugs

You can edit yours to work that way in the editor
easier with the magnasaves though to me

UPDATE

4.0.0 Updated 19.11.2022
- Updated to my latest VPX7 physics
- Some small script updates, like the Rolling sound, Fading Lights and PlaySoundAt routines.
- Added my latest VPX7 LUT changer to darken the table (hold down LEFT CTRL while change with RIGHT CTRL).
- cleaned up and deleted unused graphics & reduced the size of the table
- Changed the Environment image to enhance the metals and also a little the object shadows.
- Made the light inserts warmer/brighter.
- Added SSF sound commands.

And this is my updated VPX table number 179. Just 4 tables to go:
Gargamel Park, Legend of Zelda, and my two first VPX tables which I made as a demo of how you could use the new VPX lights :) A lot have rained since those 2 tables :) Para Smurf and Smurfette :)
These tables will need some extra work, not only graphically, but in the script too.

A few notes about this table:

- it looks like I forgot to update the version number in the script :) It still says 1.1.1, oh well, next time I'll update those numbers :)

- The LUT system is disabled in the table because the magnasave buttons are actively used in the table to rotate and shoot the ball.

I wrote that in the script:

' The LUT keys are disabled because the magsave buttons are in use in this table.
' Just uncomment those lines 134-137 and 143 to set the lut.

but I forgot to explain it the the update post :) Shit happens when you are on vacation, hahaha.

So to set up the LUT you prefer just uncomment those lines run the table, set the level you prefer, and it will be saved automatically. No need to save the table. Just quit the table and run it again to play with the normal Magnasave buttons without the LUT changing :)

JP

I think I already asked this question, but... is it possible to configure the wheel to be controlled by the left flipper and shoot the ball in the right flipper?

hugs

Me thinks the ROM may disagree with you a bit

@JP
i just changed LUT to be lockbar fire and game start
unless you jack in 30 quarters right off the bat, no issue
and if you do, then i guess you play a 4 player game is all :)

Of course on a non cab one could set the LUT to anything
page up and down etc

That won't work at all, it will be quite difficult to play. But you can change the magnasaves to other keys in the editor.

Yes, that's ok too. I just thought that changing the LUT will be done just once, so editing the script is just a one time thing. Or simply use the day/night slider, which I still mean is a perhaps the best alternative to darken a table.

It is :)
holding lockbar fire and smacking start isnt something i would normally be doing

I suppose though that people with cabs that have multiple users might change LUT more than you or i would (which is once, maybe twice)
so they could use that option
