  • Right click the DLL file and select Properties in the context menu.
  • Select the General tab in the properties window.
  • If you find the text _"This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer" or somthing similar on this tab, click the Unblock button. This should fix the issue.

I'm not seeing anything with respect to dll's that have that text line about coming from another computer and there is no unblock button. I'm using XP on my cab if that makes any diff. Thanks

Cant start table

other vpx tables are ok with no problems

You need the controller.vbs in order to run this table, available in the vp10 package"

error line 70

Where can i find this vbs file?

Thanks for your reply Nicco. I have the correct rom and it tests fine in Pinmame setup. VP9 DH plays just fine. I registered the B2s again. Where do I "check unblock all dlll for b2s registry"?

With xp you don't need to unblock files coming from others computer. I remember the error with activex was connected to something wrong with b2s... But it seem you've done everything correctly. Maybe have you got the new controllers.txt in visual pinball/user?

Sorry for the question bob but with vpx you still use xp?

I assume, Nicco, you meant to say controller vbs...not controller.txt. My controller vbs is with the other vbs files. When I ordered my Virtuapin cab four years ago, XP was recommended over Win 7. And it's been working fine. No problems running anything till this. What really stumps me is that I can run vpx version 6 ,of it with no problems

I'm not really sure but with new vpx the controller.vbs (in tables dir or script dir) has been implemented and with controller.txt (in user dir) you "let know" to controller.vbs if you are using b2s and so contactors, chimes, bells, shaker... If you pay attention to new tables scripts you must not select b2s.server instead of vpinmame.controller... It will be a great thing for scripts editing and for mech sounds : I.e. If you play old EM table and you have sat 1 for contactors and 0 for chimes in controller.txt, vpx will play sounds for chimes but not for contactors (this is how it should be).

Coming back to your issue I will try to install again dxwebsetup and vcredist! After this I really don't know what issue you could have

I have read in other posts that people are having problems with XP in different situations
I used Windows 7 and I download Dirty Harry 1.7 and I have no issues at all

I'm on to something! I was poking around today --still trying to get 1.7 to work and I can across Controller.txt---it has do do with contactors, bells, and other DOF stuff. The top choice is to disable B2s so I changed it to a 1 (like the other stuff had) and behold the 1.7 version would work--albeit -no backglass. Of course, that's no good either. But with that in mind, do you have any idea now how I can get it to play WITH a  backglass?

That must be the file nicco84 was referring to..

Did you make sure your game and backglass are the exact same name

It seems like the controller.vbs is not recognizing that you have the b2s server setup

Right click the controller.vbs file go to edit there is some information in there about the controller

Thanks for that tip although after looking it over, I didn't get any other ideas other than deleting Controller txt and launching the table again and going through the questions. I thought originally I had said NO with regards to using DOF, but when I now look at it I see all 0's--which is what I thought it should have been in the first place. So I guess somehow, when I originally answered that question, I had clicked the wrong response. Now I'm wondering if maybe something in the registry is causing the issue

Well some good news. I spent HOURS! trying to figure this out. I downloaded the table, rom, backglass, B2sServer numerous times. I just downloaded the B2s server again and this time it is working. Hallelujah! Case closed! Why it had problems with only this table is beyond me!

My joy was short-lived. I went back later to play it again and I'm getting the same issue I had before. I'm giving up. I spent all day today and quite a few hours previously. I'll just play ver.6
