i just want to say thanks. really like this one. i think it comes real close to the actual pinball.

i've played the real thing on a holiday in Spain actually. i still think it's one of the best out there.

just a small thing, is it possible to give the Lamp a bit less spin?
because i remember it was a lot harder to get to that Lighting Lamp, i believe the Lamp was 'heavier' to move.

Ok, so the missing graphics is not the driver. It is the old essential files VBS script pack that I had in my tables folder. Once I reinstalled vpX and moved the VPx table file sinto the install directory and not run them from another directory with older VBS and script files in it, then the game loaded and worked. As for the stuck DMD, if I click the 7 key it takes it out of the cycle and runs.

The problem im having now is however is that the table and ball sounds are very loud and the game DMD sound is very soft, any suggestions

Press 'END' to open the coin door and then '9' to raise the volume.  Once the volume is up to match the machine sound level, you can then re-adjust the levels between the two to your liking via the editor under the sound settings.

Just got done loading all your table updates on my Cab.

Got to say that TOTAN is the masterpiece of them all, I just love the graphics and color of the table and the Genie and Lamp look fantastic with the AO turned on.

The physics on the table and flippers are tuned perfectly, I used to own this table and I feel like I'm playing the real table with your recreation.

I just blows me away..  :db: :otvclap:

I'm not sure what I've got going on with VPinmame & this table but, upon launch, the DMD fills my entire playfield monitor.  If I resize the box, the graphics stay gigantic and only show a portion of the DMD graphics.

See FAQ:

http://www.vpforums....dex.php?app=faq

under: "When i start a game, i can only see one big DMD but no playfield."

Thanks! :) And I have never played the real table :) Everything helps in a recreation but in this case I guess much help goes to the extra mechanical sounds recorded by ClarkKent on his TOTAN, and him playtesting the table for me :)

Other than that, the table has the same values for the rubbers, metals, and flippers as defined by fuzzel (and Jimmyfingers, of course).

For anyone having trouble with the DMD not showing in Desktop mode, you have three choices:

1) As mentioned by TTrenkner, go into the code, search for "UseVPMColoredDMD" and replace with "UseVPMDMD".  There should only be two instances.  This will use the built-in Textbox to display the DMD as JPSalas has intended.

OR

B) Delete, or comment out, both lines containing the aforementioned "UseVPMColoredDMD" lines (both of them), as well as delete/comment out the line ".Hidden = DesktopMode".  This will use the default VPM DMD that you can move around.

OR

III) You need to upgrade your VPM to the latest version, HERE if you have PinDMD v1 or HERE if you have PinDMD v2 (of course, if you're really having this problem, then you probably don't have PinDMD, so either one should work, right?)

I just downloaded this VPX version of TOTAN.

I get the following message:

WPC.VBS Ver 3.46 or higher required

Script error:  Variable Undefined: CVPM Trough

Can I get an updated version of WPC.VBS from here?

I searched the download section for WPC and got no hits.

I had installed VPX with the full installer

You simply need to update your scripts with the ones supplied with VPX. If you have them in the scripts folder then copy them there, otherwise you'll need to copy them to all the table folders you may have.

Hi jpsalas,

first thanks for the table... but unfortunately I'm getting the same error as KBJAXMAN and I did what you mentioned here, I copied the vbs files from the scripts folder into the Tables folder but still no luck. :(

Please can you help further?

Thanks

Triple check .. you must have the latest VP10 exe and vbs files (vbs files go in both scripts directory and table directory -- its not pretty but it avoids problems).

Grap VP10 minimal from above .. copy the files into your vp directory and copy the *contents* of the scripts in the zip to tables and scripts directory.

JP

Is there a way to disable Nudge shaker effect in vpx. You tables use it and its not good for cabinet mode.

In the video options, put 0 in the "Visual Nudge Strength".

As always, beautiful table JP.

Max

Bravo .. solution I was looking for a long time

Hello all,

first i'd have to thank JP for this wonderful table! it plays really really great and looks also stunning.  :otvclap:  :love39: .

sadly i have a little problem with some dof contactors. in the upper left corner of the table, there is a "rail"

which is allowed to move left and right. when this rail is (if i remember right) in the right endposition my

contactors go crazy and the solenoids fire all the time. when i put the ball to rest on the flipperfingers and

i just stay there and wait, the "rail" moves back to the left hand side, stays there and the solenoids get quiet.

Unbenannt.png

 any ideas ?  :bye2:

Hi I haven't seen a reply to this but think I'm having a similar issue. Have you tried to disable VPMModSol in the table script? I too was having that issue narrowed it down to that. I haven't had time to troubleshoot further. I know this is a new feature in vpmame 2.8 -- I see it implemented in the new core.vbs. I know there were some changes moved into the Registry I hope I don't have to go dig through that.

Best.

Hi All

I am having a problem where the DMD is underneath the backglass.  It looks like the backglass loads after the DMD.  If I press ALT/TAB to select the dmd the dmd is over the top of the backglass and I can play the game.  But when I start the game again it is underneath the backglass again.

Sorry.  I should have mentioned I am running a 2 screen setup.  One for the playfield and one for the backglass and DMD.

for me the problem mostly disappears after doing what you do REPEATEDLY. After 4 or 5 times bringing the DMD to front it stays there... strange, but...

Press ALT/TAB to get DMD in Front, then move Mouse over DMD and Click (not on Backglass), then Click on PF (in the middle or anywhere, not on Backglass), this should "save" your curr. View.

But sometimes, i also get a DMD in Background, and i do the Steps again ...

What is SW1 good for? There is no Sub for it in the Target Section of the Script. I am not able to hit hit SW58 covered by SW1 on the left side while shooting the Obs or raise up Multiplier.

Obs, that an error, just delete that Sw1. Strange nobody has found that before.
