W O W ! :) This version is just great!

Do you plan a VP10 conversion or at least a PM5? Would be even better! :)

I do plan to try and give a conversion to vp10 a try.  I won't guarantee it quickly though  Lots to learn.

Just tried this.

I can hardly believe this is your first table!

Well done, sir, it's really an amazing one.

Thanks all for this table. Truly a classic.

I do have one question though. The speech is breaking up on my machine. Is there an adjustment I need to make for this?

HaHa thanks,  Its my first from scratch build and second release, but i've worked on a few other tables along the way(not released yet).  Sindbad helped with my first table and showed me a lot of tricks.  This one would never have turned out as nice without that first push.  (along with everyone else that helped on this one :-) )

Glad you are liking it..  not sure about the speech breaking up...  on other tables I've found that sounds act up with performance.  You could try changing your samplerate.  Right click the dmd and choose Game Settings.  On my cabinet I have it set to 16000 (from 44100)  I had to change it to that on most tables for performance.  You could also try lowering the alpha ramp slider a bit, the table has a bunch of them.

Hi Cyberpez and thanks to all involved with this table. I have a strange looking ball with rough edges and what looks like a flat on the bottom on it.

I have seen this before on the odd occasion but cant remember weather it was table related or some other setting. Have you or anyone else seen this and can steer me in the right direction.

I have changed the ball image to JPBall4 and tried different FFXA settings and a few others which dont seem to change the look of the ball.

Cheers

Hi Lizard,  We ran across that issue during testing also.  From reading through past threads it has to do with the ball passing through an alpha ramp (or something like that)  If you disable Antialias Ball in the video options menu it should go away.  Unfortunately thats the only fix I know of.

slow...  :hmm:   Lots to learn and try and figure out.  I used way too many alpha ramps and other tricks in the current table, and now have to go back and unlearn all that stuff :P   its going though...

Thanks for the info, i tried disabling the antialias ball setting with no real difference but i then enabled the night mod switch in the script and it is less noticeable so i will run with that.

Cheers

Very nice table!

One thing I notice (using pinballX front-end and DB2S) is the backglass lags 3-5 seconds behind when navigating between tables in pinballX. Any ideas why just this table does that? DB2S loads 3-5 seconds after the table loads using just VP, so this might be more of an issue with DB2S.

I have tried multiple DB2S files, same deal.

Thank you for the information. It looks & works just fine.

How do I use a background image so that the rest of the screen is not black? Can I use the image from the VP8 version?

I wasn't able to find an official thread for the VPX beta version of Cyberpez's Black Hole... it in the beta/WIP masterlist for download.  Anyway, if anyone happens to have that table and can tell me how to move the loading balls underneath the apron, I appreciate it.

Hey drybonz,  Are the balls not loading in the old beta?  I don't think I put out any updated beta version of the table officially although I do have a much more recent version that should work with the latest vp versions.  Let me double check where I left off and I'll try and get a new beta out in the next day or so.

My biggest problem with with table building is I keep learning too many new tricks and end up never releasing anything.   :juggle:   (And I'm very easily sidetracked with new projects)  With 10.1 being official I hope to run through all my WIP's and get a few of the further along tables released.

Seems like I just made them not visible in the editor. That was a while back and im at work right now. But I think that did it.

Hi cyberpez... thanks for the reply.  I think people, myself included, would be really happy with any tables you can finish.  The Black Hole beta I'm using actually seems almost complete.  The problem I was asking about was the loading balls hop along the top of the apron instead of being underneath.  I'm sure it's probably due to something like the table being from before the latest versions of VPX.  I'm going to try JGB's suggestion as well.
