Did you switch off aero and all the extra stuff which is enabled when you installed win7?
Oh and what about your gfx mem is out ddr5 ram with a bus resolution of at least 128bit? VP is memory intensive so check if you have fast gfx and fast normal ram.

I tried this http://www.pcmag.com...692&po=1,00.asp to improve performance on W7, switching of aero is one of their suggestion too.

Gfx mem is gddr5, bus is 192 bit. Not sure about the normal ram, but I think it is pretty recent. I did a performance check: memory got a score of 7.0 , graphics 6.9 and processor 6.5

Not sure if it says anything.

What are your VP Video Settings?  I have HDR and RO checked and RU unchecked.

I tried both. No luck...

Probably stutter is caused by my hardware then. Not sure what I will do, the VP world is changing and improving rapidly. I think I will wait what the next few months will bring and decide then. I am also curious about Timeshock and how that will run on my cab - I have pledged for having ALPHA & BETA version access. I just checked and it seems most users on the pro-pinball forum own a i5 or i7 PC so I am definitely on the lower end of the spectrum.

For now no worries, most tables on my cab are playing stutter free - albeit DMD tables without B2S - and there are still new tables released that are working fine.

I had ball stutter on my first setup then i switched dmd and playfield on the same videocard , backglass on second videocard.
You can also make dmd smaller so u get higher framerate.

Already tried that, no noticeable difference on my setup.
