If you go back to ultraDMD everything works great?

If you're not sure how to re-Register Download, Unzip put the file UltraDMDRegisterApp.bat  in your ultraDMD Folder
Right click run As Administrator and it will re-Register ultraDMD

In case you are
Normally there is no need to run any Pinball Related Software As Administrator (Admin)
If you need to than you probably have something not right somewhere

I am at work, I will try this evening.

 

But I dont think that it will work with ultradmd.

Before installing flexdmd the dmd in tables using ultradmd did not run very smooth. It was the same problem. Some movies / animation were hardly visible and speed was to slow in relation to gameplay.

 

Well, I will try and post results.

 

Are there logdata, that could be helpful?

I have just published a new version; the first initial release. It has quite a few improvments and bug fixes. With this version, for UltraDMD tables, you should not have to perform any script change. Therefore, I think the best is to revert any change and simply update to get a fully working system (I hope). Besides, tspeirs has worked on an updated version of UltraDMD that may solve your problem. It is available in the UltraDMD WIP thread. You could give it a try. Anyway, all feedback is welcomed !

If I´m going back to register ultradmd, everything stays the same. With the unchanged Champions league table DMD is colored but to slow (Ultra DMD Logo appears). If I use your script, there is no more ultradmd-Logo, dmd is colored but to slow. I have to remove the line for color (FlexDMD.RenderMode = 2). Now is monochrome and in the correct speed.

 

Moreover all the other tables (f. e. AMH or Diablo) dont work anymore.

 

So I have to unregister ultradmd!

There seems to be something wrong with the setup. To make the things clean ;

- run FlexDMDUI.exe

- Select unregister UltraDMD (third pane)

- Select unregister FlexDMD (second pane)

- Move back the script you have modified (UltraDMD_Options.vbs in core folder, and any table script) ; you should just have the original files

 

You should be good to start over from there.

 

Then, you can grab the latest (today 1.0 version), unpack the files in VPinmame folder, unblock all of the files (the ones from FlexDMD and the ones from Freezy'sDMD), run FlexDMDUI.exe, click register FlexDMD first, then click register UltraDMD. Now, you would have green checks everywhere. Then you go to the UltraDMD config tab (still in FlexDMDUI.exe) ; The DMD should show with its output. Select full color, and a text color (usually OrangeRed). Close FlexDMDUI.exe. Test the tables.

 

Personally, with these steps, I have all the UltraDMD tables working flawlessly.

 

Then you can download the additionnal scripts for tables without DMD (mainly latest JPSalas tables) or for PinballY. The additionnal script are not needed for traditionnal UltraDMD tables; these are additionnal features.

 

If all that failed, perform the above cleaning steps at the top of this post, but instead of installing FlexDMD afterward, install UltraDMD then apply tspeirs changes and see if it works for you. Then, if you want to add the DMD to JPSalas tables, install FlexDMD without its UltraDMD replacement and add the corresponding scripts.

 

Please tell us what goes wrong, I will try to find a fix.

Once again I tried.

I installed the new version of flexdmd. No change. If I take the original CL-table without changes. DMD is colored but to slow.

If I unregister Flexdmd and register ultradmd. the ultradmd logo appears but the dmd is wrong (to late, not everything is shown).

 

With flexdmd all other tables (exept CL) work without any script modifications.

 

Here is one example (sorry it is bad). But you can see, the ball is lost, I get a ball save, the ball is at the bumpers and the DMD starts to show "ball saved" (to late).

 

Got no idea??????

Send a regular link - we should be able to copy and paste. Just wonder, tried the updated ultradmd ? Not that I recommend anything else then FlexDMD, but, would be interesting to see if that changes anything for you.

I copied them to my xdmd folder and registered (batch from outhere)

Ok. Thanks for the feedback. I can't say that I've experienced what you describe - but, stutter and other odd things used to be common thing with it. I, still haven't tried the updated one, but, I'm having a hard time seeing why I need to. I would much rather just "copy and paste" a few code lines to start to use FlexDMD natively.

 

Some of the tables I've modified here locally, others I haven't touched and are using the "replace" feature, and it seem to be working well enough for me.

You have to upload the video to YouTube or some other service and then post a link
What type of computer set up the you have as far as specs?

I have tried to get back from scratch, redownloaded the table from vpdb, with an unmodified VPX, and a simple 1.0 FlexDMD. Everything just run fine and I am not able to reproduce the bug you are facing. I'm out of ideas. On my side, I am running an intel i5 3570k (mid range CPU) with a RTX 2060 SUPER (upper range GPU). DMD videos are very small (128x32) and do not rely that much on CPU power. I'm out of ideas. Any clue someone ? Anyone facing similar issue ?

Ok, this is not a CPU/GPU load issue; your system is way powerfull enough (your CPU has a benchmark of 13210 when mine is 4925, and the GPU is largely sufficient). If using the latest FlexDMD, it should produce a FlexDMD.log (in visual pinball dir) file when running. Could you copy paste it here or send it to me ?

Yes, both the given log are normal (yours and Adolar's one). The logs are fairly verbose to ease reaching full stability.

@Adolar, could you share the dmddevice.log as well (the one produced by dmddevice.dll) ?

You seems to have error related to your pindmd. Did you try modifying your dmddevice.ini with the following ?

 

[virtualdmd]
enabled = true

 

[[Pin2DMD uses stolen and/or infringes IP. PinDMD is the genuine product ;) ]]
enabled = false

 

If things run normally, then this would be a pinDMD / Freezy's DMD problem and not a FlexDMD one

 

 

 

Regarding the 2 logs ; the one in vpinball folder is when running VPX, the other is last time you ran FlexDMDUI.exe

Virtual dmd works, but pindmd not.

 

Anybody got a reason. Could there be something wrong with my installation of Freezys dmddevice???

 

But all the other tables (>400) are running?
