I tried running true FS with the 10.2 rev2762 and can't get it to work.  The delay is not the problem for me.  I can set it to 5000 or 20000, the backglass and dmd load, then I get the rom error.  When I click OK, the playfield comes on the third monitor...but can't play it, because of the rom error.  I just tested the roms for those tables coming up with errors (outside of 10.2) and they all work fine.  The tables still play okay in 10.1, using the same roms (windowed mode).

Am I missing something obvious here?  I am using the latest vbs scripts included with the 10.2 beta and VPM 2.8 (2.7 doesn't help with force FS either).

After all the rave reviews for performance, I would really like to give this true FS a go.

you have to alter the reg for every table you want to run in true FS     DDraw must be set to "0"  (Zero)

for best results go read this thread... if you read it all you will have full understanding on what needs to be done...

It is possible to enable / disable the B2S via scripts?
or have the chekbox "Disable B2S" duplicate in the Backdrop?
or both?

Thanks

Hi,

Just a little feedback, if it can help :

I've noticed a VP crash with some tables (The Who's Tommy as exemple) when I activate True FS mode.

The crash (Visual Pinball has stopped working) occurs with 10.1 and 10.2 2762.

With Cactus Canyon P-ROC, when in True FS, only the DMD and backglass are showing, but not the playfield : I only have an empty Visual Pinball Editor window.

Thank you for your hard work guys ;)

Edit : crashes disappear if I set DDraw=0 in the registry, but for Cactus PROC, the DMD display becomes really slow.

Hi Everyone,

My VP9 cab is perfectly working with DOF and BS2, but since i try VP10, i didn't success to make my ledwiz working :(

I search from several month...

I just updated to VP 10.2 with no more luck (thanks for correcting the bug about the seperate sound source :) )

I try to make the DOF Test table Working... the analogic plunger is working, but no chance with the LedWiz.

I put the VP10 directory into my Hyperpin Directory and put a shortcut to my DOF Folder into the Plugin Directory...

It make me crazy since month now... i don't know wath i'm missing :(

Any idea ?

Thanks a lot for help Guy's.

Cedric.

Ok, call me mister stupid, i didn't update the directouput table definition... and the folder for the table definition is still the VP9 table directory... :(

It work better if a "test table" definition file is present ;)

I'm running into a VPX full screen problem with b2s backglasses not showing / loading when launching from PBX. I've tried having B2S enabled in PBX / No backglass media, etc... and no change.

It works fine with VPX directly....even when using the delay function of 10.2....I only have this issue with PBX.

...ooops wrong thread.

Hi,

So the VP crashes in True FS has been resolved by setting DDraw=0 in the registry.

For the PROC CCC DMD becoming slow (about 1 image every 5 seconds) when launched from PBX, I have solved it by disabling Run as administrator in VPX compatibility properties.

Also, in Windowed Full Screen mode, I used to set FPS limiter to 1 because the ball was lagging in most VPX tables.

In True FS, I have to set it to 0, else the ball is lagging again.

The new controller.vbs reads it DOF settings from the Registry.  Only VPX has the menu that can modify the DOF registry settings.  There are VP9 tables that use "controller.vbs".

User will have to run the VPX exe to change DOF settings even for the VP9/vpt tables.

I noticed with the VP10.2 beta, the Boom balloon innards don't go down properly in Hannibal's Cirqus Voltaire 4k mod.   It works correctly in 10.1 official

Another thing interesting about this table is that my analog plunger works, but the animation doesn't move.   This is because both Auto Plunger and Enable Mechanical Plunger are set.  If I uncheck Auto Plunger it moves properly, but the table can't auto-plunge.   I can fix this pretty easily with a hidden plunger, but I'm not sure what the behavior ought to be if all 3 (visible, mechanical, auto plunger) are set.

The autoplunger should be seperate plunger object as it is controlled with a solenoid. Maybe its due to the options allowing you to choose what type of plunger you can use.

Yep thats exactly how I fixed it.   Easy enough to just copy the plunger object to an invisible one that the table can fire.

But VP lets you pick all 3.   It almost works - the visible plunger just doesn't follow the mechanical movement.     Perhaps autoplungers should always be invisible to prevent table authors from making this mistake if it's not supposed to work that way?       Seems either it should work correctly with analog plungers (it moves fine when you hold down the launch button), or not work at all.

VPX finally gives us a nice plunger object that "just works" with analog plungers.    I'm mainly concerned more table authors will use this "shortcut" for the auto-plunger, which brings us back to having to fix tables to work with mechanical plungers.

I switched it in the script with the callback and then of course plunger.fire...
But the plunger moves a bit while firing...

Maybe a dumb question.
Is there a way to make pinmames segment displays show in the vp textbox object like we can do with the dmd displays

not yet.. i always planned to have something like "display-segments", so not just single segments that one can get from VPM like is-now, but full display parts like in real life, but its much more work than i expected on both parts (VP+VPM).

but if we ever manage to implement the multiple screens for VP, then it would be almost a must to have.

Thanks toxie.
Just thought I'd ask. Going to be doing a hybrid view setup at my new small condo so when converting tables I'll just use the led method or reels.
