I wonder if the debugger window is working for you. I have not seen any bug report at github. But for me the window pops up but I can't see the white window with the text from the debug.print command, where I can write too.

I ask because I have updated drivers, so the problem may be at my computer only, but it works in VPX7, but not in the 10.8 betas.

I wonder if the debugger window is working for you.

Looks like this was just marked as fixed in the most recent build on github, JP... now, that's speedy service for you.

so I'm attempting the latest beta release (#1271, beta 3, 32-bit) as I can't find any newer versions on github (may need an account which I don't have), and I noticed something with some of the plastics on my in-progress Zone Fury table.

In 10.7.4 my plastics are all a single color at the moment and they look like this

zonefuryplasticsvp10_7_4_t.png

In 10.8 I'm getting white on some of the plastics where they overlap the sides/back of the table and I am at a loss as to how to fix this myself so they are all the same color as they should be.

zonefuryplasticsvp10_8_t.png

Otherwise 10.8 seems to work well for just playing tables even on my 10-year-old system. It's amazing to see how far VP has come since the old tech beta days when I first discovered VP,

Hi, wanna try 10.8 beta on my cab, am I safe to overwrite the scripts and dlls on my 10.7 and have 10.8 as separate exe - will 10.7 work with 10.8 scripts and dlls ?

there was a description of a new POV system somewhere, someone have a link to that ?

Hi there - so my issue with any build aside from (Rev 603 (954f964, 32bit) is that once i load a table, my cabinet isn't 'active'. none of the buttons will work. i have to go to my keyboard, go back to the desktop, and reselect vpx, then go back to poppervr for anything to work. On the build I have, once a table launches, I can just play like you would expect with all buttons active. Any ideas?

Be aware it is still beta and could give you strange results.
Best way is to put the files in a separate directory and test 10.8 from that point.

It should be backward compatible, but that will (i hope) 100% in the release version.
About the new pov, see changelog :https://github.com/v...t/Changelog.txt
And check this : https://github.com/v...dow-projectionI

Latest beta is rev 1271. If you still use rev 603, try to update it

Just started playing with vpinballx.ini in %appdata%/VPinballX and wow this is great!.   I can more easily change settings on the prelaunch of a table such as changing fullscreen from 0 to 1 or vise versa.  Great stuff, thanks devs!!!!

Did you find a way to customize the .ini settings for individual tables?

thanks! yeah unfortunately the problem persists for me in that build. both 32 and 64bit versions. And there is a new issue, all tables are super bright. I'm gonna revert to 603 for now. Thanks again though.

Regarding your "tables being super bright" are you talking about the tables in PopperVR and if so, are you using OpenComposite?

I just tried the new POV settings for my cab and WOW, I can get my tables to look much better and have more depth. I did notice one issue, for some reason VPW's version of Iron Maiden does not like the new POV and will load to a black screen if used. All other tables so far work great though. Note to anyone attempting the new POV settings for cabinet, after changing to "window mode" you may just see a black screen, I do, scroll/magna save down to "Player Z" setting and adjust to around 80 with the flipper, the table will then come into view.

Update, I found there was a POV file in the table folder for IM, after deleting it I could then create a new POV with the new settings.

I just tried the "window" POV.  I'm not exactly sure how to produce something like the legacy "inclination"... or is it not intended for desktop mode use?  Basically, I can get a top down cabinet view, but can't figure out how to tilt the table back.

Did you tru to delete the pinballx.ini in your %appdata% and relaunch pinballx again ?
Maybe your ini file contains incorrect key mappings en if you delete this file, it grabs all the info from the registry again

It is my understanding that "window mode" is for cabinet users and "camera mode" is for desktop users. https://github.com/v...ndow-projection

Ok, that's how it appears in that document.  I'll give the camera mode a shot.  Thanks for the info.

*edit*  After playing around with the "camera" mode for a bit, it seems very fidgety and hard to dial in the perspective I want.  The player X setting is very strange as it adds a left or right "slant" to the table.

yes! i'm using open composite on the 603 build and it's good, but on the 1271 build all tables are super bright and i can't start them, like the cab isn't 'activated' until i go back to windows and click on it...

Are you aware of the special openvr_api.dlls required for OpenComposite, using any other will create bright washed out tables?

Sure thing,

64bit here https://drive.google...DGW?usp=sharing

32bit here https://drive.google...9PS?usp=sharing

Note, if using a newer 64bit VR-GL build that has renamed .exe to VPinballX_GL64.exe then you will need to change the name of the 64bit dll to openvr_api64.dll
