If you double click on PBXRecorder 1.6, the button on the lower left called "Record 1 Table" will record 1 table ;)

Send me or post your pbxrecorder.log file if you are not able to record the backglass

just ran a clean attempt on 1.6 just on Predator and attached log. I can see at the bottom where it recorded table and dmd, but nothing for BG. Weird (there is not a BG video for predator) this seems to be happening for any table, not just predator. not sure what I did to break this. Just tried it also on the new table that was just posted "Now" lol. same issue.

Hey GTX did you get a chance to review the log files? still trying to decipher why it won't record my BG. Wondering if it has something to do with  the fact that I recently had to fix the BG display so it fits properly. Had to tweak the B2S setup a bit for BG because for some odd reason, the BG was no longer displaying correctly. Would this have messed up the pbx recorder? Not sure if the b2s setup plays a role in the PBX functionality? Would love to get this working again.

Yes you have some unusual numbers for display sizes -- Why is this?

Do you have your screens align correctly

It does look like you are using some funky resolutions in Windows.  Most people use 1920 x 1080 for playfield and backglass.  In your case, the log says you are using

1824 x 1036   (Playfield)
1824 x 1068   (Backglass)

That means your screen res should start with
1824
1036
1824
1068

Currently you have
1824
1036
1827
1080

If you want to use 1920x1080 like most of us, you should set both playfield and backglass to 1920 x 1080 resolution in Windows.  And then use the NVIDIA control panel to adjust the TV over/underscan slider so the full 1920 x 1080 screens are visible on both TVs with no cut off.  Then your screen res would be
1920
1080
1920
1080
If you go this route, keep track of all the changes you do, because you could mess up your setup if you dont know what you are doing

I wonder if my issue has to do with the fact that I have the BG and PF monitors on my nvidia GFX card and the dmd display on the built in card? per attached, you can see that I don't have the ability to line all 3 up in nvidia control panel b/c the 3 monitor is connected separately from this card. Would this matter with regards to the suggested setup you are proposing? Would it be better if I just put all 3 on the same card? My concern was if it would affect performance? Or am I just better off having them all on the same card for simplicity sake?

Yes it's better to use one video card for all 3....
It still should work even if you have them separated....
Are they lined up in Windows?

I decided I"m just gonna put them all on the 2gb video card then I'm going to open my b2s setup and update the settings according to the suggested parameters. If I need to adjust the BG for overscan I can do that in the nvidia control panel or whatever. It shouldn't affect the b2s setup. I may need to redo some things but I'm used to it. lol

If you have to use on usual settings for your resolutions then there is something wrong somewhere Or your set up is unique

Here is a YouTube video about over scaling adjustments when using 1930x1080 with TV where the taskbar and icons are off screen

The TV I use in my living Room when I hook computer to it - It Does the same thing But there's a setting in that TV to correct it.... so your TV may have a setting in it, if that is the problem you are having

for some crazy non logical reason I can find, this tool will not record the BG video for Motorhead. I'm using the record one table option. It records fine for everything else. I renamed all files to Motorhead including the DB table info. (removed the .. from the top of the o.) see attached pbx log. Any clues as to why this is happening? I also had an issue getting it to record monte carlo (Gottlieb 1987). Had to trick it by removing the other monte carlo (Bally 1973) and renaming it to just Monte Carlo, then I could rename back to the respective versions since there are two. Why does this tool not know the difference between Monte Carlo (Bally 1973) and Monte Carlo (Gottlieb 1987)? The names of the tables are unique.

I wonder why this is at the bottom of the log

Table file not found: C:\Pinball\Visual Pinball\Tables\Motörhead.vpt or Motörhead.vpx

Because he renamed the file and not fixed the xml ?

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

PBXRecorder has checks for a lot of special characters but not umlauts. Probably going to have to rename in the xml at least to get PBXRecorder to generate videos. If you then want the umlauts to display correctly in PinballX you can rename the generated files and other media files. The description tag would look something like this:

Motörhead (Original 2018)

Got it worked out but here were my findings:

1. For some reason when I select 1 table to record, sometimes I"m prompted to add the table to the xml even though I have it in there already. (does not always do this but did happen once or twice with this table.

2. I double checked the xml and found that it added another entry for motorhead but with the umlauts (even though I renamed my files) though I'm wondering if this happened before I renamed them, that is my only guess.

3. So anyway, once I removed the umlaut version of the table from xml and tried again to record using the 1 table option, I was not prompted again to add it to xml. However, the BG still would not record.

4. I got the BG to record finally by using the autofind option but only for BG video. weird, but not the first time I have encountered issues like this.

Thanks everyone.

Great app.

Is there anyway you would release the source code to me as I am a professional programmer and I would like to poke around :)

thanks

Awesome program!

Any chance to allow the use of a custom ffmpeg command line ?

For some reason the playfield videos (.f4v or mp4) that are created with 1.6 show a black screen in PinballX

But if I convert them again with ffmpeg and use -pix_fmt yuv420p they play fine

(Windows 10 1903 64bit with LAV Filters 0.74.1 (32bit & 64bit) installed)
