Maybe the user could just enter their chosen time with the option?

I would love to see this somehow implemented !!!

I think I found a solution to the alt-tab problem. In the next update you can enter a waiting time after which VP will do an alt+tab combination without the use of an extra ahk script. More later...

rev2760 is up:

- let VP do the task switching in exclusive fullscreen mode after a user defined waiting time (check video preferences to enter a waiting time)
- En/Disable DOF fields in menu on master checkbox change
- add checkbox to DOF for "ForceDisableB2S"

thanks for completing the controller menu :)

i don't think it is needed to grey the options when forcedisableb2s is enabled, because these options have an effect on the mech sounds even if b2s is disabled, and grey the options makes think all the options are disabled, but it's not for the sounds

True, but then again, this is also the default behavior that one has the sounds and not the toys/DOF, so i guess overall it should be logical to a newbie?!

Hey... that is great, fuzzel.  Thanks for doing that.  I think everyone using true fullscreen will appreciate the convenience of this new option.  Really appreciate it.  I'll post a quick note in the original "alt tab" thread to let people know it's been added.     :dblthumb:

I don't see anything that says "ForceDisableB2S", the big checkbox for "DOF Controller Options", does that function, but that seems like a misleading name because at it's most basic level it is turn off or on B2S, regardless of whether you have DOF.

Hmmm.. seems like i completely misunderstood that, so also ignore my previous answer.. :hmm:

I'll change it again..

I think the delay may work better if it's in seconds instead of ms.

The delay should work exactly the same regardless if the options are in seconds or msec ;)

lol... right... I mean it may not be obvious to people to enter values that high.  Did you find a number that seems to work well, Joe?

Full screen mode is experimental.  I am not going to use it with PinballX or regularly until it's official :)

Ah ok... well, for anyone testing... I have tried from 1 up to 30 thousand as a setting (testing on a slow loading table), and it doesn't seem to be switching.

@gtxjoe: It will never get much better than what it is right now. So better not wait for something. Its all technical limitations of DX and windows which we cannot do differently.

Sounds like it's time to move it out of "experimental" status.     :dblthumb:

It already is. In the video options (and also changelog) it just says that its less compatible.

It's official!  I think that note in the video options may lead people to think it's an experimental feature.  If gtxjoe, a top developer thought that, probably other people do too.  But that is great news... thanks Toxie!

decided to try out 10.2 beta, but can't seem to get it to run.  i get this error in the log

Activation of app Microsoft.Windows.Apprep.ChxApp_cw5n1h2txyewy!App failed with error: This app can't be activated by the Built-in Administrator. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information.

I'm running win10x64 build 1607.

ok its some sort of security issue as I'm using the build in admin account and I guess you can't do that anymore,  looking into how to fix this issue (not really an issue with VP, just my setup, sorry)

fixed: I had to turn ON uac, strange

it would be great if the delay timer for true FS worked, ....but for me just that the workaround is working , i won't lose any sleep

because just being able to use true FS in any fashion is awesome... I would never want to go back to windowed FS ever again

it just makes VPX that much better....

I got the delay working by setting it to 5000, it brought the player to focus.  I was never able to get this working before, thanks devs
