Is there anyway to release 2 versions of the table?
Perhaps a Hi performance version and a regular version, so people can choose based on there hardware?
I have an i7 930 @ 4.0 GhZ with nvidia GTX 480 so I don't expect to see any slowdowns.

The way it's built isn't very flexible for adjusting, I wouldn't think. The massive amount of swapping images is where the load is.

I already added some options at the very beginning of the script, you can for example disable the ball reflection, but i will probably add some others options, once all the graphics will be done. I will upload a screenshot tonight showing the options system in my script, I like the fact to have very simples options at the top of the script, like "DMD_Rotation = 0", if you want to turn it, you just have to put 1...

Great news.
Ease of use is a great thing to have for a table.

Here is a screen-shot of the first lines of the script:

You can see that the options are immediately accessible and very simple to set (0 or 1).
In the final version there will be other options.

I love the training mode! That'll be great for those that aren't very good at pinball, but still want to play (kids, wives, gorillas, etc.)

My wife is not a pinball fan at all, but I asked her to test playing the table with training mode activated and she really enjoyed laugh.gif ...It was a very looong game...

Well, I just clicked at the "X" in the screenshot to close the script window, which doesn't work because it's not a dialog box but a screenshot....duh! smile.gif

But on-topic: great idea to incorporate a training mode, maybe that'll lure more people into the HS-thread. Let's hope it doesn't encourage cheating though...Would it be an idea to have some indication on-screen that you are currently in training mode? That would make cheating a lot more difficult, even when it is not intentional. The way I see it but correct me if I'm wrong, is that when you let invisible walls pop-up with a script option, then it would be easy to pop something else up visibly that warns the player he's currently within training mode?
Can't wait to see the finished product, hopefully it runs well on my amped up game PC,
Slam23

Did you know that "playing pinball" is called "flipperen" in Dutch? Now you know and may your life be enriched by this arcane knowledge....

You are right, I will add a visual indication when "Training mode" is activated wink.gif
Btw, about the high score topic, it's very easy to anyone to add invisible walls on any table he wants... And even if you just modify the physic, you can make a table much easier... So it's not that complicated to get a high score rofl.gif .

im having all my pc parts for my cab together ... except the graphic card. the one i ordered got lost at shipping. so second time to think about it.

i really dont wanna buy a card and then realise that its to week for tables like this High Definiton Table.

so can you tell me which card to purchase? i know thats the wrong thread but i need a card to play this table SMOOOOOTH

video card MUST BE a low profile one. because im using a barebone pc with just one pci express slot. (anf overall just one slot free)

card should match with this parts

AMD Phenom II X4 840 Box AM3 4x3.2
4GB DDR3 Ram 1066MHZ
power supply 420 Watt (weak i know sad.gif )
windows xp 32 bit

a helpfull post would be killer!

edit: your oppinion about those models?! all affordable (60 to 80€)

MSI R6570-MD1GD3/LP (Radeon HD 6570 1024MB DDR3)
Sapphire Radeon HD 6450 1024MB DDR3
Point Of View GeForce GT 520 2048MB DDR3

I don't know if I really can help you to choose your card, I would probably go for the GeForce, but it's very personal, maybe it's the wrong choice.

As I said, on my computer the table plays perfectly smooth most of the time, it just stutters a little bit during the big lights sequences (jackpot, extra-ball etc...), but I will try to optimize the script to improve the FPS... Here are my spec if you want to have an idea (pretty old actually, except the video card):

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz overclocked at 3.2GHz
4GB RAM (DDR2 800)
Win XP 32 bit
NVIDIA GeForce GTX460 / 2048 MB - I have 2 monitors connected (both in 1080P)
I don't use a frontend.

Hope it will help!
