Your 5 hours was wasted work.  Is it frustrating to find Roms?  YES, is your solution a good one?  NO!  Gottlieb sent a cease and desist on their roms being hosted. The legal ramifications are real, do not rock the boat with a solution that isn't healthy to the community.  What Gottlieb has done, it's likely others may do the same. The current system is frustrating but it works as is and is not worth rocking the boat over.  In a perfect world, everything is easy and available and free. This isn't that world, we do what we can to navigate it and enjoy our hobby, but within lines that are drawn. Let's not cross those lines

 

I accept that you may not understand. Its also ok that you don't understand.  But it's also ok that you accept it is what it is and move on from this issue.  It won't end well for you if you don't (not a threat, you aren't the first to try to help with a "solution" you feel is good!).

I got the ROMs starting at 3:00 PM TODAY on this website so it should be fine anyway.

Well your not going to get far on the other sites with that attitude. I don’t understand what is so hard. No packs of roms. No one else wants them, their not yours to do that with... people try to do it with tables too, they are not yours to do whatever you want with. We are damn lucky to have them so don’t ruin this for the rest of us. Besides it’s not hard to find roms, wtf....

A lot of people on these sites have put a ton of hard work into all of the stuff you have downloaded on your computer, why is it so hard to be humble and do the right thing for you?

I am not ruining it for anyone and I will not be ruining it for anyone. I know where to find the Gottileb ROMs but I choose not to tell anyone.

R&D repair..... sounds like you own some kind of service business I assume. Maybe you’ve been doing it a while and you’ve gotten good at it. One day some customer comes in you’ve never seen before and starts telling you how you should do your job. How’s that gonna go over? Especially if he’s wrong! This is now 2 argumentative posts, are you trying to be a part of this community or get kicked out? No one wants anyone to leave or get kicked out, but we’ve done fairly well so far without you

Seems like mission complete, the only mostly absent Admin here has choosen to leave the link alive in the original post..ho hum...more the fool anyone that would download a .exe then execute their PC.

It's funny how some people apparently cannot grasp legal issues.

 

Not that this tool is a bad idea, quite the contrary, but it will get you in trouble for distribution of copyright material or protected intellectual property.

Most of us here will agree that this site can only operate on legal/free content.
