File Name: Cactus Canyon (High Noon Night Mod)_VP916_FS

File Submitter: Aaron James

File Submitted: 17 Jun 2013

File Category: VP 9.x MOD Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): Lord Hiryu, MRCMRC, Sheltemke, Aaron James, The Wool, Grizz, Kodiac
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 2013
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

Hello VP community,

1st and foremost, let me say thanks to the ones who gave me permission to mod this great table : Lord Hiryu, MRCMRC, Sheltemke.
I also want to thank epthegeek for contribution. Of course I want to thank JP Salas for helping me with my question along the way, and for his work with the original.
Without them, this table would not have been possible for me to do.
I have a great appreciation for how they all contributed to put this table together. Cheers gentlemen!

For this mod, I also want to thank The Wool, Grizz, and Kodiac. It was awesome to see this community "chip in" and do such an amazing job on this classic table!

Changes that have been made to the table:

- most playfield / table images modified.
- physics changed
- all lights/lamps had to be reshaped in VP editor.
- tons of other stuff I just can't think of, but that took me forever to do....lmao
- new alpha ramp plunger (Kodiac)
     - he helped put the entire code in the script for me, and JP for helping direct me in the right way.
- New alpha ramp flashers (The Wool)
- darkened the off lights, brightened the on light, to make them stick out more (The Wool)
- added some false light effects to the ramp plastics (The Wool)
- new ramp and borded texture (The Wool)
- New apron/wheel logos/static backglass (Grizz)
- I wanted to change the ball size, but if you go any larger, it will get stuck up above Bart, so I don't recommend it.
- I know I'm forgetting some minor things, but who cares...just play the damn table already! ;-)

I hope everyone enjoys this, as a lot of hours went into the making of this mod.
Who knows.....maybe we might see a night mod db2s backglass for this table.....

All the best,
Aaron James

Great.

Because I just finished playing the FS version on my desktop with my neck cranked to the side because I am not at my cabinet at the moment.

Looks and plays top notch.

Just finished my first game of the new Cactus Canyon on my cabinet.

Plays like a dream and all the shots are very accurate.

So much so that I beat the game and got a Grand Champion score of 258 million on my only game. :)

Well look at you mr grand champion !:-)
I'm glad you said you can make the shots.
I can't stand when I play a table and I am properly aiming and never hit anything...lol
You may need to shorten your flipper length, haha. Great job!

I really like this mod, so beautifull :otvclap:

I've just a small issue with the cactus "bonus X" panels: lights doesn't work for me.

It's strange because in the table videopreview for Hyperpin they are working...

Wow, that is VERY strange. Does anyone else have that problem? I've been racking my brain trying to figure this out to no avail. Maybe it's a setting in video options in VP editor? Are you using vp9.1.6 with a recent revision? Gosh, can anyone else help out with this?

No, but another problem. Ist only sometimes: the flash lights get not off. I must wait till all flahes get of. Then i can start playing. If I don't wait the Flash light on the right side get not not in off modus. I use VP 9.1.6 r599. Thank you for your gooad hard work.  Ilove your creations. It make my heart and my soul happy. :otvclap: :otvclap: :otvclap:

@Aubrel

If the cactus bonus lights are not flashing you need to reduce your 'x scale', or increase your 'Y offset'. These can be found in the 'backdrop' options in the table editor.

Note: these values apply for the cabinet FS version, not the desktop version
