Cactus Canyon Night Mod
Hello VP community,
1st and foremost, let me say thanks to the ones who gave me permission to mod this great table : Lord Hiryu, MRCMRC, Sheltemke.
I also want to thank epthegeek for contribution. Of course I want to thank JP Salas for helping me with my question along the way, and for his work with the original.
Without them, this table would not have been possible for me to do.
I have a great appreciation for how they all contributed to put this table together. Cheers gentlemen!
For this mod, I also want to thank The Wool, Grizz, and Kodiac. It was awesome to see this community "chip in" and do such an amazing job on this classic table!
Changes that have been made to the table:
- most playfield / table images modified.
- physics changed
- all lights/lamps had to be reshaped in VP editor.
- tons of other stuff I just can't think of, but that took me forever to do....lmao
- new alpha ramp plunger (Kodiac)
- he helped put the entire code in the script for me, and JP for helping direct me in the right way.
- New alpha ramp flashers (The Wool)
- darkened the off lights, brightened the on light, to make them stick out more (The Wool)
- added some false light effects to the ramp plastics (The Wool)
- new ramp and borded texture (The Wool)
- New apron/wheel logos/static backglass (Grizz)
- I wanted to change the ball size, but if you go any larger, it will get stuck up above Bart, so I don't recommend it.
- I know I'm forgetting some minor things, but who cares...just play the damn table already! ;-)
I hope everyone enjoys this, as a lot of hours went into the making of this mod.
Who knows.....maybe we might see a night mod db2s backglass for this table.....
All the best,
Aaron James

What's New in Version 1.3 (See full changelog)
- V1.3
- As a quick fix, i copied the old flipper logos over to this one and changed the image to hide the ball glitch while the ball is resting on the up flipper.
- v1.2
- Changed alpha ramp flashers
- -checked off "normal 3D Stereo"
- (this was causing flashers to have nasty side effects and unnecessary ball stutter. I suggest turning on Region Optimization in video settings of VP editor).
- v1.1
- --changed right gun GI.

Excellent Night Mod. Plays great. Thanks!
Superb!! thanks for all the hard work you have put into this
thanks...we are waiting for DT version.....
I have submitted it. It just needs to be approved by site admin.
Nice job--Love night mods!--especially when played in a totally dark room. With the Backglasses so active and all these new flashers, dare I say it's more exciting than playing the real table?
Yea, the wool did awesome with putting these flashers on the table.
I play in the dark too, hehe.
I just like the fact that the actual plunger now works thanks to Kodiac.
Very nice mod, Thank you !
GRAZIE

Fantastic work all around! Flashers look great, as do the high res textures, and the train animation is vastly smoother. Thanks much!
