I love the work you did- but unfortunately this version stutters on my system.
I reverted back to the most recent version prior to yours that works.
Again- it looks beautiful though!
Hmm. This version should actually run BETTER than the original. That is part of the reason I wanted to release this for
FS as well. However, I should say that I don't use
UVP's, so the performance I get pretty much matches what I get on the desktop version as well.
Yeah, this mod runs for me maybe 5%-10% faster.
If that isn't the case for some of you, I don't know what to tell you. I guess make sure it isn't the
UVP.
If somebody wants to add
B2S, you can add it & send it to me & I'll upload it, or you can ask LH to get permission & upload it yourself.
Rob, could you please explain how is it possible to change the ball image? I prefer the more "solid-looking" ball in the previous version of the table to the semi-transparent (?) one in this
Thank you for the mod.
I think I left the original image in there. Changing a ball image is about as easy as it gets. You just, well, change the ball image in the main table options along the right. Set it to whatever image you want. That is all there is to it. In fact, if you are having stutter, maybe do try a solid BMP image. I think I read something by somebody who said that this can sometimes improve stutter. Not for me, but maybe it will help for you?
Try lowering Max Texture Dimension to 1024 or if you are using Windows 7, try the 4GB patch.
Well, actually no I would only recommend this to people running 64 bit OS (XP, Vista, Win7/8). 32 bit shouldn't benefit from the patch, because the whole point of the patch is supposed to be for 64 bit. In fact, maybe it would even cause problems. But I'm glad you mentioned this because I know for me, on windows 7 64 bit, this patch has been helpful. I get less crashing & freeze ups.
This table does have a lot of high res textures in it, so I'm not surprised that especially some lower end PC's might have problems. I don't think LH ever released a low res graphics pack for this table, so maybe it is what it is. But yeah if you are on 32 bit, or that patch doesn't help, then the next thing to do is to limit texture size. If still have problems, let me know. Whoever could fire up the original LH table OK, should be able to load this up as well. If not, let me know.
