I have several tables that the backglass doesn't load with the table and it gives me the following error message "no dmd device driver found"  It is doing this on Bram Stoker's Dracula, Big Bang Bar, and Playboy 1978

I don't get any error, however the back glass simply does not load up. I have tried renaming the B2S file the same as the table but it makes no difference. I have this same problem with Bone Busters too.  Any help would be appreciated.

If you don't get any error, normally is because you have to change the follow in the Script of the table :

Set Controller = Create Object("VPinMame.Controller")

Replace it with this:

Set Controller = Create Object("B2S.Server")

Of course, the table & Backglass name identical

In the VPX editor > Preferences tab > Keys, Nudge & DOF, on the right side & almost near the bottom is a check box labeled “Disable B2S”. Make sure that is not checked. When I go between DT and FS modes sometimes I forget to uncheck it.

Thanks for the help.  Just correcting the syntax as I was still scratching my head. :)

Set Controller = CreateObject("VPinMame.Controller")

Replace it with this:

Set Controller = CreateObject("B2S.Server")

Greetings from Australia,

I have the same issue here. I have only half a dozen tables that are not loading the back glass. My example here is "Big Bang Bar".

It is not the script issue referenced above. My script says:

Select Case cNewController

Case 1
Set Controller = CreateObject("VPinMAME.Controller")

That seems right.

Box is not checked on preferences - as mentioned above.

B2S file name is identical to the VPX table.

I have not tried downloading other B2S back glasses - should I try that ?

Another Weird thing is the Soprano's table (another example). The back glass worked at one point but has stopped now.

Welcome any trouble shooting suggestions to sort it out.

Well, if you can't right-click the backglass (and get the options menu) ...

Do you have Exclusive Full Screen Mode turned off for now (its in the VPX video options).

As far as installing B2S-Server there is a certain way it must be done.

IIRC, there is a supplied .exe that must be used to get the DLL registered into Windows.

Hi guys,

I don't know if you found a resolution to this, but I had the same problem. It ended up being something wrong with the Backglass file itself. I renamed an existing file that I know worked to the table I was having problems with and the backglass would load. I then found an older version of the backglass I needed. Hope this helps.

Hello guys I have a similar problem with b2s however my problem is that B2s is not loading at all on any table. B2s is already successfully registered, it is in the same folder as tables with exact same name, none of the b2s files are blocked by windows. It is not a screen position problem because alt tab doesn't show any b2s windows at all and when I open a backglass manually it opens fine and with right click I can see that screens are in the correct position. Already tried registering again but nothing loads with table in vpx. Been looking everywhere online but nothing seems to work.

Try opening the Editor and click Preferences tab at top of editor.

Then click Configure Keys, Nudge and DOF.

You will see a Disable B2S on right side of window. Make sure it is unchecked.

Hi IVANDP77, I had a similar problem. Check the B2SbackglassServerexe file and make sure Windows isn't blocking it.

None of the b2s files are blocked I checked every single one related to b2s
Yes b2s is unchecked in the vpx preferences
Also looked for duplicate b2s server because apparently can mess up b2s but I only have the one inside the table folder
