VP9 VPX Gottlieb
VPX 10.8 REQUIRED
This is a conversion of the VP9 table by Serpiko and Pinuck to VPX.
I tried to retain as much of their work as possible and i have left all their notes and credits in the table and script
All i have done is update the table to play and run in VPX.
I have only changed things where needed due to changes in coding, or materials physics or function from VP9 to VPX
And added a few things like a FSS mode with backbox and digital scoring display
And a single screen desktop mode with digital score display
All credits to original authors, i have made nothing here really, simply brought a really fun old table out of yesterday.
The B2S Backglass was made by Herweh it is linked as the media pack.
ALL MODS MUST BE UPLOADED TO VPF
NO UPLOAD, NO PERMISSION TO MOD

Great table! just wish it would run better for me. Having severe ball stutter even after turning all quality down or off. Any ideas?
Off you would see performance issues on this table, it isnt very brutal on a PC.
fairly simple old table that barely qualifies as SS.
No crazy lighting, no high poly models, no 50 unit multiball etc
When you have these ball stutters, can you run the game with the F11 menu, and note if you are seeing high or low FPS during these stutters
wheel not spinning when i play.
Wheel makes a distinctive sound when it spins, and only certain events spin it.
Are you hearing the sound but not seeing motion? or just expecting that it spins more often?
It does not spin when hit, only when other events take place
Just found this table, it brings back memories, plays and looks great. Thanks
I have the same odd ball studder as reported above. A few hundred tables and a pretty high end rig too and this is the only table showing it. Also the ball bounces hops when it gets to the flipper bat coming down the lane I think this should be a smooth transition.
Really love this table, one of my favourites
wonderful table wiesshund, fantastic job! thank you
Thanks!
Thank you for the update.
This is awesome, I decided to upgrade to 10.8 today ...... this is an awesome remaster. With permission I would love to redo my original close encounters pup for this table, you remastered the table, i'll remaster the pup. It was my 1st pup made, I've learned a few tricks since then ![]()
Thank you for this sincerely.... i own the real life close encounters table LOL
