Fantasy dB2S. 2, 3 screen and grill animation possibility with the fantasy mode depending to the used version.

What's New in Version 2.1 (See full changelog)
- 2.1
- Experimental (!) version to replace the 2.0 version. The idea was to show the ambivalence of the Genie better than it was done with the 2.0 version. Otherwise 1.9 or 1.95 are still more clean than 2.0 was.
- 2.0
- 3rd screen usage like in version 1.95 included. I encourage all three screen users to follow Sax and Natetaco as an example for problem-solving expertise.
- 1.95
- Sax showed me a working solution without the original idea to lit the third screen. If I did now everything he described alright, version 1.95 should not work as intended in 1.9 but at least does solve the problem with the dmd for users who prefer it. Players who like to lit the third screen should therefore continue to use the 1.9 dB2S.

- Same as 1.90 but uses a different method to try to solve the third screen dmd overlay problem. If that works version 1.90, 1.91 are obsolet and I will also try to modify version 2.0 to restore the deleted grill lightning. Your feedback is very much appreciated!

- You can not solve the hidden dmd with for example: Set for the normal grill usage in the 1.9 version the b2s dmd as hidden in the b2s backglass server.

Took Medieval Madness (Williams 1997).directb2s and renamed it to TOTAN and all runs good, so I assume this directb2s file has some issues. I did't get the extra dmdform file running or the extra window named Tales of the Arabian Nights v 1.4, just the Form1 and there is no delays, BG comes right up, so something weird when using this directb2s in VP9...
Update: Got working with the following combination on VP9.93...
TOTAN_VP91x_3.4FS_Classic.vpt or TOTAN_VP91x_3.4FS_Classic_FOM_FLUSH_RELEASE_GI.vpt
Tales of the Arabian Nights (Williams 1996) 1.2.directb2s
When I try and upgrade to versions 1.7-1.9 directb2s they seem to render double directb2s windows titled "Form1" & "Tales of the Arabian Nights v 1.4"). v1.2 is the highest available for download that doesn't double window, suspect something changed in version 1.4 that started rendering dual windows, since one of the windows in version 1.7-1.9 says v1.4 on the title... Anyone got a v1.3-1.6 to test further?
I use the latest version: Tales of the Arabian Nights (Williams 1996) 1.9.directb2s.zip
Without a grill used, I can only see a Form1 window in all described TOTAN versions with the keyboard keys alt and tab switching between the different windows.
Humm, not sure, but works great with older ver 1.2... No one else having issues is strange, maybe some will show up as they use the new VP install (something might be missing). Do you have any of the missing versions (v1.2-1.6), just curious how far I can upgrade till the issue shows up.
I need to check my older backups to see how much of them are maybe undeleted and ready for a test for you. I will reply again if I do have other than the versions listed here in the download folder.
Does not work for my VPX version. DMD stays behind the backglass, so it is kind of useless.

Your comment made me think again where the problem or misunderstanding may lay. Please try to deactivate for the normal grill usage the b2s dmd as hidden in the b2s bakglass server.
I tried it more times also with a restart and I can not see the problem from a dmd not staying ahead the grill. Also the fantasy mode works. I do not connect a third monitor for a three screen setup now but I am sure it does work there too.
Please try it.
For players who are still unable to solve a hidden dmd problem a version 1.91 will be ready soon. Everyone who likes something new may like to try version 2.0 instead of the 1.9 final.
Now every option is laying on the table. After more thinking I found out that there are two ways to include a third screen.
Natetaco posted that he had the same problem with other rare db2s too. That could be a small editor bug in case the problem would be solved with the new version 1.92 for three screen users. Your feedback is very much appreciated!
The other hint came from Zozueh and is described above and is probably only a misunderstanding of the backglass server.
You should try to deactivate for the normal grill usage the b2s dmd as hidden in the b2s backglass server. Try to use version 1.90 or 1.92.
To finally solve this problem I uploaded three new versions.
1.91 for users which are unable to solve the described problem regardless what solution they try. (You will miss all grill and third screen lightning effects.)
1.92 for users with 3 screen overlay dmd problems. Does it work? --> Your feedback is very much appreciated!
2.0 as version for future improvement room. If none does have problems with it, I think about how to restore the grill and 3 screen lightning effect also for this version.

As bassgeige stated above, the B2S DMD was the problem. For me, the solution was to change the settings on the B2S server to "Hide B2S DMD" and save the settings. After that, no more problems with the vpinmame dmd getting behind the backglass.
Thanks bassgeige for the effort and help to overcome this one.

Maybe you can rename another backglass that was not made for TOTAN as a dummy dB2S, set with this your preferred settings and try it again with this dB2S after you overwrote the dummy dB2S. 1.4 was only left for reference and it is a bit more active what the input signals belongs. Try the latest normal version. If you can not set it up and run it like I do, that could mean that your PC may be busy and not longer responsive. I did not do a normal TOTAN dB2S because I thought it is a bit boring. Who knows, maybe I give it a try too. Maybe I can record a video of this version, so you can see how it looks. You maybe can also try to use a lower backglass resolution for a test, to see if that is able to speed up the dB2S.
