Strange World VP9 1.0

Version: 1.0.0
Category: VP 9.x Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas

Description:
Based on the table of the same name made by Gottlieb in 1978.
This is an EM table, so it doesn't use a ROM.
Thanks to humid for the redraw of the playfield and plastics.

I won't make a FS version, since it uses reels and I leave that to the FS experts to rotate the table and move the reel to the other screen. The table is angle free (only the plunger need some changes in the editor and in the script).

Some notes about my version:
The lights turn off after each ball.
The challenge is to turn on all the lights and score as many points as possible in one ball. Neither humid or I could find if the lights turned off in the real table from Gottlieb at the end of each ball. It seems to be so, if not the score goes up very quickly.

The special hole will give you 1 extra ball the first time, successive times will give you 1 extra game. Originally it gave just one more credit (game).
This special hole also turns off after each ball.

You get an extra game when your score reaches 80000, 120000 and 160000 points (even if the apron says another thing).
There are 3 constants at the beginning of the script that can be changed if you wish to change these values.

Enjoy!
JP

Yes, my holidays were very nice smile.gif I spent a lot of time at the beach, resting, swimming. I even got a change to play several time a real Rollercoaster Tycoon, and it was great fun. I discovered a few things that could be corrected in my table, but they are just small things. And actually the real table played quite close to the VP table smile.gif

Actually I had this table nearly finished before I went to holidays smile.gif

Being an old EM fan from the 70s, I love your latest creation. I did notice, however, the lanes still score points after tilting the machine.
Is that a bug in the scripting or intentional?

Thanks for giving this forgotten table that dynamic J.P. touch. It's quick and challenging, one of the last EM's that wasn't also released in SS. I find that keeping both slopes around 7 allows you to catch the ball better, which in necessary to make good shots at the targets. A bit less kick on the lower slings also helps. She turned out real sweet. I truly appreciate you taking the time to do this one.

Yo JP, do you have plans on making some old Gottlieb table like Central Park and Ace High in the near future?
I think this tables deserve VP release.
