Thanks for the table and please don't take my observations as insult.

It looks good enough, not keen on the field of view, the 'microsoft word' reel looks out of place and doesn't work here I get a parallel lined image when it changes . Also those flippers are just plain wrong, the arc is too great on all the flippers, top flipper included, heck I can virtually trap the ball with the top flipper. Also the gap between the lower flippers is way too narrow, it should be at least 1.5 ball widths wide and closer to 2 ball widths wide.

Cheers!

This table was built mainly for FS use. i don't use 4:3 and never have and i don't know how you guys like to play them
so thats why my 4:3 versions look crappy smile.gif
what are the settings you guys like to view ? let me know and i will update it for you
I'm still learning so expect me to make a few mistakes wink.gif
as for the flippers i know what your saying i have not played the real one since i was young and even then it was only a few goes. i have been playing it on my cab and it is a bit easy and yeah i didn't notice today how bad the top flipper was... lol

i have noticed a few other things that i would like to tweak also. so expect a small update in a few days if there is any other faults let me know.

what did you mean by 'microsoft word' reel ?

The suggested setting by Bolt in the Hi-res thread seem pretty good to me 55 / 35 or there about.

Very nicely done. A pleasure for all us Dr. Who fans that were waiting for this new version. Glad Steve already mentioned the flipper observations, just a little tweaking and she'll be truly awesome.

By no means am I trying to nitpik. Just a suggestion. If you could add that ball collision sound when the locked ball gets struck by the ball in play, it would be pretty cool. Only noticed because that whack works so nicely during multiball. Really enjoying how this plays.

I will look at it I was thinking the same thing I will have to get unclewilly to let me know how to add it. I could prob add it using a trigger

I'm always open to suggestions, so keep them comming

Nice table!

I found a two bugs, though.

The first bug was when I was in multiball, and then I had to shoot for the Daleks (I don't know if that's how you spell it, but it's those red targets on the bottom of the levitating playfield) and I had two balls left. then, just before the playfield was going back down, I shot the ball into one of the Dalek holes. it never came back, and once I lost the other ball, the machine did a ball search and didn't find it. so, I had to add a ball to continue.

The other bug is not really all that bad, but the ball did get stuck here: (the ball is not there because I nudged it out before I took the Pic.)

The ball got stuck between the yellow post and the topmost ramp.

DOCTOR WHO TABLE FIX (AND GENERATING A WORKING NVRAM FILE):
-----------------------------------------------------------
To avoid hearing "Warning: Keep hands away from mini playfield" all the
time during attract mode/during gameplay, to avoid always having the
coin door open, and to have the ability to open the coin door....

1. Delete \Visual Pinball\nvram\dw_l2.nv
Delete \Visual Pinball\cfg\dw_l2.cfg (This probably doesn't matter)

2. Change the Controller.Switch(24) lines to "= 0".
For Jamin's VP8 table v1.1.0, change lines 98.
For Unclewilly/oooPLAYER1ooo's VP9 tables v1.0, change lines 80
and 179.

Controller.Switch(22) = 1 'Coin Door Closed switch' closes the coin door (but you can still open it with [End]).
Controller.Switch(24) = 0 'Always Closed switch' makes the coin door "unopenable" as far as the game rom is concerned (you can't use the [End] key).
Controller.Switch(82) = 1 'Playfield Glass switch' acts like the glass is in the table so you don't hear the warning all the time.

3. Run Visual Pinball and start the table.
When it says "Factory Settings Restored" press [Esc] and quit back
to the VP editor--For some reason pressing [F3] to restart VPinMAME
does not do enough, you must exit back to the editor.
Start the table!
