The Party Zone [UVP] (CUSTOM)

Version: 1.0.1
Category: Animated Backglasses

Author(s): Moogster66/flying Dutchman

Description:
CUSTOM UVP
UVP for Bally's Party Zone. Special thanks to Flying Dutchman for the backglass image. Added some flashing lights to give the UVP a better look. Kept the amount of flashing to a minimum to reduce table stutter. Hope you like it!

Whats the point in having a UVP backglass then?

Its just a static backglass. I think this is going to add even more confusion to everything.

your right to a point. It is like a static backglass. And I guess if I would know more about phototshop, I could edit the picture and put it up. I have tried to get my system to work with these uvps, I have added video cards, didn't work, power supply, didn't work. Velociraptor HD didn't work. If anyone wants to edit the backglass images to look like UVPs, then I will gladly take them. I guess I could take a screenshot of the backglass and post it. Didn't think that it would cause "confusion". This is only my second UVP, so I'm still learning the editor. When I learn to get the lights flashing without causing stutter, the I will update my UVP. There are a lot of smart people on this site, but only a handful are trying to use the editors and uploading stuff. This is my second upload, I'm not as skilled as some of the veterans. There are a lot of table that are missing statics and UVPs, I'm trying to learn so I can help fill the void. Made this one so my system would run better.

I would suggest you modify the one's that are not working for you moogster66 .. because of performance problems you seem to have when running UVP's with (lots) of activity.
Iceman5000 is right though .. if you would upload the modified ones as 'full blown' UVP's people get confused.

It's best you keep the modified ones without activity for private use and when creating a new one which is (close to) accurate also post it to this Forum?

Cheers,
FD.

I updated this UVP. Added some flashing lights to make it look more like a real backglass, less like a static. Enjoy.

Thanks, Moog!

While I'm at setting up other sections, would 'static' and 'UVP' be a better way to set up the categories? Do many have issues with UVP's?

I only tried the Ali UVP and there is a visible hit on my performance, so I just use a static backglass when I run HyperPin.

A special place for Backglass images could never be a bad thing.

I can sometimes see a hair of stutter with some UVP's. I personally only use UVP's for tables with split DMD's. The rest are static.

Thanks Noah, as all UVP's are already in the 'Animated Backglass' Section there's only a 'Static' Section to be added.
Mind you .. all UVP releases are already shipped including .uvp AND .png files so a Static copy of the Backglass is always there for the ones in need .. wink.gif

What I would like to suggest is to split the 'Animated Backglass' Section (for uploading UVP's) into two different sections:

'UVP' - (almost) accurate re-creations of ROM Controlled Backglasses - for the ones that act like the 'real thing'.
'UVP - Fantasy' or UVP - Custom' for the ones that are based on how the Author would like the Backglass to be (and so not accurate to the 'real thing') - also the section where you
could post the UVP 'light' - versions in case having trouble with a 'full-blown' UVP! wink.gif

Just a thought ..

Cheers,
FD.

I know that I have trouble with some that have intense flashing. I am only using one vid card, and in my rig I don't have room for more. I have an 8800 gts in my pc, and that is a very capable card, and it cost me quite a bit too. I have also tried using the card for the playfeild, and onboard graphics for the backglass, and that didn't work either. I am not in the market for another card, so I will modify the UVPs to my liking and need. I do like FD's idea of having the separate section for the custom or "fantasy" UVPs. That might take out some confusion.
