The Addams Family VP91X 2.0.1 FS

Version: 2.0.1
Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): melon

Description:
The Addams Family (Full Screen version for cabinet use) - Based on the table by Bally from 1992
Based on the 1992 Bally Addams Family.
Thanks to all the betatesters involved.
Thanks to Leo for the backdrop and for the hand pics, thanks to ChispaMaster for the plastified look, thanks to Lord Hiryu, UW and Groni for some of the images and sounds used and of course thanks to JPSalas, many of the sounds and textures are from him.
New to the FS version:
New bumpers made with walls so they can fade smoother in 4 steps.
New thing animation.
Adjusted flippers settings.
Some minor updates.

Changes in version 2.0:
Updated to VP91X: Transparent ramps, transparent plastics. New Screws, nuts, pegs... New metal and wood textures, new flashers, new sounds, new physics, added missing sensor (sensor 58 at the end of the ramp) and lots of little adjustments I just can't remember!
Changes in version 2.0.1:
Ball shouldn't get off the main ramp anymore.

I can't wait to get home and give this a shot! (At this rate, I won't get to finish Avro Arrow Redux and start on redrawing the PF for High Speed!!!)

Whoooo, this came out fast. A few things i have noticed on the graphic side of thing:

The upper flipper on the left hand size doesnt seem to be in the correct position, its seem a bit far away from the plastic thats around it?
The red stair ramp decal doesnt seem to fit the shape of the ramp
and the switch housing on the main ramp at near the top right of the table appears to be the 1 used in the 4:3 table as the angle doesnt appear to be correct.

Now i dont know if these are things you have missed out melon, or just dont have the resources to get the right angles etc, in which case i apologise, just thought id let you know

Oooops, it's my fault, I forgot to change the switch housing image!
About the left flipper, I'll take a look at it, I could move the red plastic a bit. The same with the texture in the ramp. Those things weren't noticeable in the 4:3 version. I've changed many things for this FS release, and I think I may need to change some little things, but I wanted to release this one by popular demand. I want to focus now on my new tables, I need to rest a bit from TAF.

Yeah i think you just need to move the red plastic down abit, as on my real table the red plastic is push on top of the clear plastic post that is right near it

Thank you!!!! Also is it just me or is it harder to hit the ramp with the hand than your 4:3 version?

EDIT:

Got some questions Melon.

When I turned the HD render 'on', the table went black upon left nudge(!), but works well with it turned 'off'.
As it came with it turned 'off', I suppose it should be that way, or do I miss something in quality/performance with it turned 'off'??

During multiball (which I must say is one of the hardest table to keep the balls in play on) i manage to get one ball stuck inside the rubber next to the lower bumper...

Anyway, thanks again! This table rocks!!! otvclap.gif

Am I crazy or is this table ridiculously easy to tilt? I swear, sometimes I only press the nudge button once and Gomez says danger TWICE. Sometimes I've only nudged it once and had it go DANGER DANGER TILT instantly. What the heck? I'd blame it on my Logitech and XPadder, except I haven't seen this happen on other tables.

Wierd. I am sure that happened to me also last night, but when I tested it again, it seemed to work fine.

set the tilt-times in the pinball (pinmame) menu to 5-10... that should fix your problem.
