[Flying Dutchman]

Hi all,

 

I have grouped all my Tables in PinballY!, Bally, Williams, Stern, Favorites etc. etc.

 

Today I´ve started up PinballY! and all groups were gone .. :-(

 

Is there any way to get them back, -is there an auto-backup file?

Manually Restore yesterdays "Settings" backup file. Do you know how to do that?

 

If that doesn't help, it would be the XML file in the Databases folder. But AFAIK, it doesn't auto-backup itself daily, so you would need to restore it from a recent backup.

Be sure you didn't just accidentally switch it back to "show all" and not by Categories. I've never used Categories, but sounds similar to Favorites.

 

You should probably backup your current PinballY folder first (somewhere safe). That way it can't get any worse than it is now.

I´ve restored the PinballY! settings file from a few days back, but it doesn´t seem to contain the ´Groups´ neither ´Favorites´ ..

 

All Visual Pinball X tables are (luckily) still showing up in PinballY! but all ´grouping´ seems to have disappeared :-(

 

If there´s no BU from the file where this info is stored I will have to re-arrange all once more (for VPX only around 1725 tables :-)  ).

So all help is welcome .. to prevent me from starting all over ;-)

I have no Groups. I have Categories. If you mean Categories - All this stuff is stored in a file named GameStats.csv
Choose Filter by Category... Hope you got a backup..

Indeed, that´s where the info is stored .. and no, no backup   .. but I will in future!
