Hi all,

I was running 1.72 quite happily and all was good. A few days ago I decided to update to 10.8, and things went south in a hurry.

After finally getting the correct download I checked to see that I was running 10.8 (tick), but almost every table I open stops with variations of 'Controller needed' errors.

I did some digging on the web, and most things tend to point to the backglass server, which is registered on my machine.

Today I tried a complete clean install, with the VPX setup and then the 10.8 files that I got from Github. Same problem.

Does anyone have a fix for this? Am I being completely useless, and it's a simple error?

Many thanks :)

Also needed is latest b2s server, flexdmd and vpm3.6 to play the new stuff. Use the AIO installer if in doubt and let it overwrite, and register VPM

Thanks for that.

I hit another error - I got VpinMAME installed, and the new B2S server. Now when I run a table I get a cGameName error. I'm assuming this is to do with FlexDMD, but I hit another problem with that...

I went to Github to download the new FlexDMD package that seemingly solves the problem, but Windows Defender is flagging the download as a virus! (almost certainly a false positive). Part of me wishes I could roll back to 1.72 with the dodgy flipper graphics...

You need:
VP 10.8.0 (!), the latest stable Version, with the "Scripts" folder
Vpm 3.7.x, the sc Version
B2sserver, the latest 2.1.5
Flexdmd 1.9.1 - to Download, use an alternative Browser (Chrome...) or an Android device
Dmdext 2.3.1

All of These in x64.
