So aside from psychedelic/trippy stuff, my favorite aesthetic is like circus/carnival/theme park stuff. But that's one theme that has been DONE TO DEATH in pinball.

Still... I feel compelled to make one. I'm trying to gather all the circus or theme park elements already used in both real and digital tables so I don't accidentally rip something off TOO blatantly. Some overlap is inevitable.

I'm MOSTLY concerned with actual functioning toys. Those are the things that seem like rip-offs.

So far I have:

Cirqus Voltaire (one of my favorites) has I guess jugglers, a bouncy ball, a balloon bumper, and a ringmaster. None of those are a concern really, they're just vague concepts. Trapeze artists, high dive etc. Whatever. It's all just stuff the game TELLS you is happening, really.

Hurricane has those cool spinning ferris wheels and an actual juggler toy (sick as hell).

Adventure Land (Zen): has almost everything unfortunately. A ferris wheel, a spinny air ride of sorts, a normal straight-up spinny ride, bumper cars, a functional cannon, a test your strength game, one of those looping rides where you spin in a circle in a little car (on the backglass), and of course rollercoasters. And probably something else I can't see by looking at a screenshot. I used to play it a lot but don't remember. Zen of course is the biggest threat since my ambitions are similar to theirs, but they have multitudes more of a budget and manpower which is to say anything above 0 and 1 respectively.

The Pinball Circus has a functional trapeze performer, an elephant, a lion, a clown, and a knife thrower. Not interested in any of those really.

Funhouse has a dummy and a clock, not really worried about that either.

VooDoo Carnival Pinball also has a test your strength, a milk bottle toss, maybe some kind of clown funhouse object in the back? Not sure, I've only watched footage of it.

Cosmic Carnival has a freak show and another clown mouth toy.

Oh and a Slot Shots table has a carousel but I might do a carousel anyway. It's generic enough. There's probably another table with a carousel I forgot.

I'd love to try to make mine more original with really absurd rides that almost look surreal, but that would be challenging. I'm only just now learning how to make toys dynamically affect the ball, or give the illusion of doing it.

Thanks, wow never seen this before. This is exactly what I was looking for. I actually had a similar idea to break it into sections like this. But this thankfully isn't anything too "inspiration shattering." I'll really have to come up with something weird to make it stand out.
