I'm trying to run VPX in VR and seeing this error in every single table apart from the Deadpool one. (I have about 15 tables):

Object required: "controller"

I'm running Windows 10.

This is what I did for the setup:

1. Installed this: https://nailbuster.c...taller_2311.exe

2. Installed the update: https://www.nailbust...ate_baller_2023

3. Installed this version of VPinball: https://github.com/v...ases/tag/10.7.3

Left everything on default settings when installing.

controller script is definitely in the script folder.

Read somewhere that it could be related to not having installed backglass (whatever that is). Something about modifying the table script? couldn't figure out what or where the table script is...

Any help would be appreciated

EDIT:

Figured out that the table script is the script that shows up on error. I modified line 12 to: Set Controller = CreateObject("VPinMAME.Controller") but that did not fix the error

Example errors:

table: VR ROOM The Addams Family (Bally 1992) v2.3

error: Runtime error
-------------
Line: 147
Object required: 'Controller'

table: VR Room Grand Lizard V1.9
error: Runtime error
-------------
Line: 2656
Object required: 'Controller'

Thanks, that actually resolved the error! much appreciated.

Unfortunately, I tried to load up the Die Hard Table from VPW and got this error:

Runtime error
-------------
Line: 11903
ActiveX component can't create object: 'PinUpPlayer.PinDisplay'

Looking at the description it says the pup framework and Pup pack are erquired.

Presuming that the pup framework is the content in PinUPSystem, I've updated that to the latest version.
I've also downloaded the die hard pup pack that is required but wasn't sure what to do with it. I've dropped it in PUPVideos.

I might be well of here. This has got to be the most difficult thing I have ever had to install in my life  :love39:

EDIT: looks like I fixed it by accident. Clicked a few things in the PinUpSystem folder. I have no idea what fixed it but it seems to be working now

PinupPlayer is one thing

Pinup Popper is a separate thing

So you would need to be sure you have Pinup PLAYER installed per the guide on their site

Looks like you may have installed the latest Baller Installer Bonanza and then mistakenly updated with an older version and then updated VPinballX to yet another older version. The first link/exe you posted will install 10.7.4 but your last link is 10.7.3. I would start over and reinstall the first Baller Bonanza you posted, that should be all you need. Note, to run VR you would need to launch the GL version (VPinballX_GL64.exe) and have the VR Mode set to "enabled" and not just auto. I would add that you should watch the youtube video tutorial as you do the install for Baller....and if you are going to redo the install, delete what you have (but save ROMs, tables, b2s to add later) as you don't want to reinstall Baller "on top" of another Baller.

ah... looks like the first link I posted in my original post was not actually the baller installer I installed first. The second link I posted was from the baller installer I used as part of one of the setup steps. I must have used an older baller installer as the first step.

But good to know there's a more recent one, I will start from scratch
