Thanks jpsalas, wiesshund and previous autors for the work. Nice pinball! :otvclap:

Curiously, the name Petaco comes as a tribute to the previous pinball manufacturing company Petaco S.A. from which people came to found Juegos Populares and continue manufacturing. This model was one of the company's best-selling models.

Thank you! I love the unmistakable ~Spanish~ sounds, the same used in the "one-armed bandits"

____

¡Gracias! Me encantan esos sonidos tan españoles, inconfundibles, los mismos que usaban en las tragaperras

Dear MRCMRC, wiesshund, pedator & jpsalas,

thank you for this lovely early SS game! I have one problem with the perfectly playing table: I cannot access to the option setting menu, the mouse pointer is visible on the BG, on the tiny display area on the table when the hidden option is 0, but on the table and on the menu card the mouse pointer is invisible. I am using VPX8 Rev 1347. It would be a sufficient solution for me if anyone could post here the nvram for 5 ball operation, playing 5 ball is my only request.

Sincerely, Christian.

Hi Christian,
Is this behavior only with petaco, or with any rom-based table?
One hint, after table start you need to wait until the Rom initialisaton is finish (short Rom sound is playing, the zero scores are visible)
Then normally F6 is working...
You can of course open this table with vpx7.4, do your Rom settings so your .NV will be set.
I tried also with my actual vpx8 version 1852, all is ok with rom-setting-window F6

Hi,

and thank you for your reply. To answer your question: this effect I have only with Godzilla and this table. But in the meantime I was able to overcome the flaw with this trick: I positioned the display "window" very narrow to the tick box ... then I was able to tick the box without seen the pointer.

Here I add the nvram that plays 5 ball:  Attached File  petaco.zip   462bytes   0 downloads

All the best, Christian.

You can always run the table in VPX7, setup the settings, and then run it in VPX8 :)

As I said in the VPX8 beta thread: I force the mouse cursor to appear by hitting D and opening the debug window, after that I can hit F6 and the mouse pointer is visible :)

Run vpx in non fullscreen mode, change settings.
then go back to exclusive full screen mode

You can always do
ALT + SPACE

then

M

Then arrow keys to move a dialog window and drive it over to the backglass

handy sometimes

Dear JP,

thank you for THIS hint, I think it is a VPX8- thing with the invisible mouse pointer. I had the same difficulties at Verne's World. It appears with rom- controlled tables under VPX8, EM recreations are not effected.

Thank you, greetings, Christian.
