Hi,

I just installed VPX VR and tried a few tabels. Some tables (Big Chief (Williams 1965), Star Trek (Gottlieb 1971)) run flawless in VR, but others (Swords of Fury (Williams 1988), Kiss (Bally 1979)) don't display the backglass in VR, apart from that they run OK. Enabling or disabling the setting "Capture External Backglass" doesn't change anything.

Is there an easy way to display the backglass on those tables?

Another strange problem occured on the Kiss table, in VR there are no sound effects (like plunger, ball rolling, hitting objects), just the music. The non-VR version of VPX has all the sounds.

Edit: I got the sound effects working. After loading the Kiss table I have to press esc, then "Resume game" and then the sound effects are working for some reason.

Thanks for your help.

Sorry for the late reply, can you show where you downloaded the exact table file so we can see if a backglass has been setup to appear in VR? Not sure if you are aware that if the table hasn't been optimized for VR then the backglass probably won't show.

Hi,
was the problem solved?

I have the same problem with "Creature of the black Lagoon" and "Swords of Fury (Williams 1998)".

CotbL - both VR Versions from VPUniverse
SoF - the VR Versions from VPUniverse

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

This is a old topic and I think the first guy fixed.

About your issue.

Take a look on table script and check if the VR is set for it.

Some tables needs to set for VR in script table VR section.

I tested both and works fine.

Hi,

sorry for the late reply (I was away for a few days).

I'm pretty new to VR and VPin. With your tip I was able to activate the VR-Rooms respectively the backglasses.

Thank you very much.

Where do you find the table script?

Found it - Open the table - click on View > Script

I am pretty new to this also. I have Machine Bride of Pin-bot running in VR just fine but also having troubles with the back glass. Followed a few guides trying to make sure i have all the right settings and such. I did read that the table needs to be a VR Room version? How do I know. I could only find the one version 2.1 here but I have seen videos on Youtube of it with back glass working. Any help pointing in the right direction would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi

tha Machine-Bride Of Pinbot - 2.1 and 3.0 from Bigus are not for VR

Try the VPW version and choose in script line 95 which room enviromment you want

The Machine-Bride Of Pinbot (Williams 1991)_VPW_1.0.4

90 VR
91 'VR Room Off = 0
92 'VR Room BaSti/Rawd = 1
93 'VR Room Minimal = 2
94'VR Room Ultra Minimal = 3
95 Const VRRoom = 0

I guess this is a recurring issue.
About 30% of the VR tables I downloaded shows an area of the desktop instead of the backglass. (And yes they either have VR turned on in the script or auto detect enabled)

I tried downloading b2s files for those tables, but it still isn't capturing the backglass, So I need to adjust the position of the b2s window in the desktop everytime I turn on the computer.

Someone thinks this is a registry issue. But then all the other tables would have the issue (I guess).

I still have not found a solution to this but others have by installing a fresh version of Windows. I now keep "Capture External Backglass" un-ticked in the VPX VR Options and this prevents any issues from tables that "do not" require the b2s in VR, but I cannot see the b2s for tables that do require the b2s.

Capture backglass is indeed the issue.

Which is a shame, since a lot of amazing tables are PuP only.

A fresh install doesn't seem to be related to the issue.

Today I tried turning on capture again and all pup tables had the backglasses in the proper position...

Turned off the pc, and they are off again. Repositioning the window isn't a big deal, but... Hellraiser for example have different elements that you can only move one, and darkest dungeon doesn't scale properly and is missing the borders of the backglass.

I think I repositioned and saved a backglass pup just before almost all tables started working properly (other than the ones that disable the internal backglass). I'm going to retry and see if this "resets" things into working properly, at least for the current play session.

*Edit* If you move the backglass video and right click to adjust the size and position of the setup window and save for a single table, all PuP tables will show the backglass in the right position until you turn off your pc/headset. For the tables that hide the internal backglass with capture on, you'll need a pup pack for them, turn off capture, or download a b2s file and do the same as the PuP saving the position globally for one table before playing. Guess that's the "solution" until this issue is fixed.
