Hi everyone, newbie here wanting to buy a virtual pinball machine.
Ive contacted 4 companies and
3 of them seem to be selling the same model running on windows 7 with a 49in playfield monitor
The 4th runs on windows 10 with better tech specs but with a 43in monitor.
All seem to have the same cabinet dimensions (Williams size) and 4K screens, and more or less similar in price.
Usually for a regular computer setup, the higher the specs and bigger the screen the better but for a VPM, whats more important here?
Is windows 7 good enough to do the job?
Is a 49in screen that much of an improvement over the 43in?
I cant find comparisons anywhere so if you own a VPM and could chime in Id be so grateful for your opinion 😄

49in with these specs (havent been able to get any more info but another company said windows 7):
Screen of completely unknown quality
for 6K you better damned well list exactly what LCD it is
I am going to guess it's shit
120Gb SSD Hard drive
Shit, considering a 512gb SSD only costs $25 Retail
yea, shit substandard drive i imagine
4GB Ram
Shit
4gb ram is like 20 years ago
i dont care if its the fastest RAM on the planet, that is shit.
CPU: Intel i5 4430 or above
Yesteryear shit CPU
For $6000?
get the hell out of town
Graphics NVIDIA GTX750Ti 4G
Antiquated shit
for $6000?
Basically it runs 2 x 4" Midbass woofers. Max 50w each The amp is 2 x 180w max
The front end software is Pinup Popper.
Popper is free, anyone charging for popper is porking you in the ass without lube
4" woofers are useless, for 6k, it doesnt even have an 8" kicker in it?
- Massive 1319 tables in one machine
Yea, just No
You are being ripped off.
You cannot sell a preloaded cab, isnt legal.
Do the table authors get anything from the sale?
No, they dont, just some asshole ripping people off using other people's hard work.
The other one is from a well known scheister as well.
We wont discuss what the cabinet itself is actually made of.
If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Both of your links go straight to cabinets for sale with illegally pre-loaded .tables.
Please edit and remove both of your links please.
On the front page of this site you will see a Post towards top of page that states this...
Attention All VPForums Visitors!
Attention all VPF members and users: If you've purchased a virtual pinball machine, hard drive, flash drive, or DVD that contains tables and ROMs from our site, or any other Visual Pinball site, when you received it, you have purchased an illegal product! Return it for a full refund immediately!
Our authors and contributing members work hard and provide FOR FREE all the content you've 'paid' for. This only serves to upset our contributors and will likely cause them to stop sharing the work we all enjoy. It is unethical and ILLEGAL to include their works in any commercial product!
Thank you.
These preloaded cabinets are frowned upon here, and for good reason.
Your best bet, would be to purchase a legal table from VirtuaPin, and then you can download all of the tables for free.
The members here would be happy to help you with any technical questions, or how to add tables to your new cabinet.
When you buy an illegal cabinet, good luck with tech support, as the company you buy it from, usually don't know what the hell they are doing, so you won't get help from them. And you will be lucky if anyone here on this site helps you with tech support.
All of these preloaded cabinets are made with the cheapest materials, and usually the drive is locked, so you can't add tables even if you wanted too.
Also I think this is the same guy who is still taking orders for cabinets, even though their business has been shut down.
He takes the money, and runs.
Do the right thing.
Don't purchase these illegal cabinets pre-loaded with tables.
Purchase a LEGAL VirtuaPin Cabinet for cheaper, and it comes with best tech support you will ever find on the web!

Hey @xenonph
WOW Im really confused why they are illegal as many companies sell them here in Australia? Perhaps they pay a license? I have no idea as Im new to do this but of course I want to do the right thing.
I cant buy from Virtuapin who are in the US (imagine the shipping cost across the world 😅)
When you say the same guy who is still taking orders for cabinets, you are referring to Xtreme Cabinets owned by a New Zealander who build the tables from scratch, or so they say They also allow customers to download tables directly when there is an update.
Appreciate your input!
PS: I need something thats already all built and just plug and play. No interest (or skill) to DIY this stuff 😆
All machines in Australia come as per the links I posted, there is absolutely nothing else Ive found.

Did you check the second link, the one with the good specs but smaller playing field?
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Outdated CPU no longer in production, most likely sourced from chinese surpluss, or cast offs
MSI B450M PRO-VDH AMD B45
Not a current generation motherboard
GeForce GTX 1660 Super
Outdated old gen GPU, also mostl likely sourced from chinese overstock or cast offs
We know who extreme gaming is
1350+ Pinball Tables Compatible (4K) Pinup Popper Menu (2000 Plus Tables on system)
That asshole did not design and program pinup popper
He has no right to sell it, he does not give the inventor a single shilling
1350 tables?
He did not create the tables, and he has less than 0 right to sell them
The authors do not even have any right to sell them, the tables are sole property of the companies that invented their real life counterparts
NO BODY but them can sell them.
This should not need explained.
Would you like it if i can into your house, took what i wanted and told you to sod off
and then walked away with whatever i wanted?
Beside being a form of theft by commercially selling someone else's property, it brings negative attention from the companies who own the rights to the machines
and the artwork and the logic programming etc, and then that attention lands on the vpinball sites and the table authors.
We already lost an entire vpinball site and 100% of it's content over night due to this shit.
Because grown people (cause kids dont have $6000 cash to spend) cannot grow up and not act like entitled children.
And we have lost table authors as well who will no longer make tables, because assholes sell them, and worse assholes buy them and dont give a bloody damn for the repercussions as long as they got their toy for zero effort.
Yes shipping from virtuapin to Australia is expensive.
May try contacting Noah and see if you can buy plans, and then have a local cabinet maker cut them
out of actual quality plywood.
Or try Arcadeworx out of Perth, who sells bare vpin cabs
Hell you can even download cabinet plans and any cabinet maker could cut them for you

Thank you for clarifying all this for me, I had no idea this was going on.
No need to explain what intellectual property theft means in such detail,I am not retarded but I understand your anger.
I raised the subject vary vaguely to another local company called the dens, without accusing them of anything, and they completely ignored my question and wished me well in my pinball machine search!! Very dubious.
Importing anything from the US is sadly not financially viable, not with the horrendous currency exchange (USD1 = AUD1.58) 😱

see if arcadeworks in perth is still running
they make bare arcade cabinets including a wide body and mini vpin
i dont recall the materials being the best, no maple plywood
think it was cnc cut laminated MDF
but their prices were inline with those materials, they were not too expensive

Thank you @wiesshund but I was not able to find them.
Only found Arcade Rewind in Perth and they sell the same preloaded machines as the other ones (ie 49in screen and poor specs)
Oh well, I got so excited about buying one, looks like it was just a dream after all!
