Hey guys. I just have an issue and I hope someone can give me some advice. I'm trying to add a "DMD" to an existing Class of 1812 directb2s. The directb2s's BG that I have, has a border around it and the light is assigned to solenoid 32, which works perfectly for me. Issue: When I try to use this same solenoid 32 in the "DMD" section that I want to create, it does NOT work! :( Although, if I disable the solenoid 32 callout in the BG, it seems to work fine in the "DMD". So basically, I can't seem to duplicate any active lights, solenoids in the "DMD" if they are already called out and active in the BG, and vice versa. Does anyone know of a work-around that would allow me to use both at once? Note: I did create this as a new BG, with 2nd screen DMD, in B2S designer, and imported the existing Class of 1812 directb2s lighting etc. All lights work as needed except duplicating solenoid 32 in the "DMD". Could I be creating this wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

watacaractr

Did you change "ROM ID Type" to "Solenoid" - in Illumination Options (F7) - at both ?

Hey Stat. Yes, the solenoid 32 is set to both. If I disable the one on the BG, then the one on the DMD works. If I disable the one on the DMD, the BG one works. I'm confused. I would think no matter where you assign a light or a solenoid on the DMD or BG, they all should work. :(

... just discovered that the solenoid 32 that I want to use, and other lights, can only be duplicated(multiple times if needed) on either the BG alone or the DMD alone, NOT both at once. If they are duplicated on both BG AND DMD, only one, either the BG or DMD, will work. Ugggh!!!

With solenoid 32 you can drive a light with a different name instead of directly driving the Backglass light,

30 is the ID in the example that you need to replace in light of the BG.

Solcallback(32) = "SolRun"

Sub SolRun(Enabled)
   vpmNudge.SolGameOn Enabled
If Enabled Then
    Controller.B2SSetData 30, 1
    LightDMD.State = 1
Else
    Controller.B2SSetData 30, 0
    LightDMD.State = 0
End If
End Sub

Hey again, everyone. Thanks for the info kiwi. I apologize, but I seem to be having trouble making sense of this though. I've attached my script and the DMD illumination screenshot to this message.

- I created a light on the table itself and called it "lightDMDborder".

- I added the number 98 to the script from above and called out the light "lightDMDborder".

- I've put the number 98 in to the B2S Designer's DMD illumination window as "gi string", "solenoid", "lamp" and blank. None of these seem to work for me.

Could someone point out what I've done wrong or what I might have missed?

Thanks again

Here is my script:

Solcallback(32) = "SolRun"

Sub SolRun(Enabled)
   vpmNudge.SolGameOn Enabled
If Enabled Then
    Controller.B2SSetData 98, 1
    lightDMDborder.State = 1
Else
    Controller.B2SSetData 98, 0
    lightDMDborder.State = 0
End If
End Sub

Attached is the DMD Illumination window...

I did a quick test with a B2s made by me, and it works using solenoid 32,

it makes me think that perhaps you have duplicated the Callback of solenoid 32, it must be only one Solcallback(32).

This is the code

Solcallback(32) = "SolRun"

Sub SolRun(Enabled)
   vpmNudge.SolGameOn Enabled
    lightDMDborder.State = Enabled
End Sub
