Thank you Juan and Halen. Another surprise, and a table I have no experience from.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Thanks JP & Halen!

Flip Flop...I don't recall this table but it does remind me of those 4 'fiip-flops' on the 1975 Wizard table I owned.

Let's see how this thing flips....or (flops   :) )

Thanks!

Hey @jpsalas,

I've noticed that the ball can rest here after releasing the flipper:

https://www.linkpict...as_flipflop.png

doesn't happen on the right one.

I have not made a "Six Million Dollar Man" table before, but I have made similar ones,  like Nitro Ground Shaker or Harlem Globetrotters, which are similar in layout and graphics or colors.

Hey @jpsalas,

I can always fix that in a revision :)

Thanks so much for a lovely table JP and Halen.

I have noticed a weird physics anomaly and I wonder if you or anyone else can shed light on why.

If you launch a ball softly and it only travels a few inches up the plunger lane, it will fall down again and bounce a little off the plunger tip, add a little more power to the plunge and it will fall and bounce even higher (as to be expected), you can also see the plunger spring compress a little when the ball bounces.

However, if you plunge with enough power to get the ball past the lane arch bracket (Primitive63) but not enough for it to exit the plunger lane, the ball will fall back down at speed BUT stops dead on the plunger and does not bounce at all (or barely)

Weird behaviour and I think I also saw the ball do the something similar when it hit the top right flipper at speed (not sure though).

Testing in VP 10.8  (I'll try 10.7.3 and see if same issue)

Edit: Seems to happen in both versions of VPX but it is not not consistent and doesn't always happen. I have noticed that when the ball stops dead it makes a different "tink" sound which maybe makes me think it is hitting some other part of plunger or maybe the wall348 with a different physics attributes compared to the plunger tip (and the wall is absorbing nearly all the energy of the ball rather than making it bounce)?

@Gravy: That odd behavior is because of the plunger being just a little more up that the wall I put there to keep the ball at the center. With a slow ball the ball come back at the center and hits the plunger. But if the ball gets more speed it will travel back closed to the right wall and it will not hit the plunger first, but it will hit that wall I added there, and since the wall has an angle and very low elasticity it will bounce to the left and hit the wall at the other side and it will stop without bouncing. So it is not any weird VPX behavior, it is perhaps just bad design to use that angled wall to stop the ball :) Moving the plunger a little more up will make the ball always hit the plunger on its way back :)

@krusso222: the table gives both extra balls and extra game (special). But it you refer to the special that you may get if you get a high score then you will need to change the lines 965, 969 and 973 and replace the command AwardSpecial with AwardExtraBall

I figured that was likely the case as per my last line in the comment but when I first saw it happen I was thinking there was a VP physics bug.
