File Name: Mystic (Bally 1980)

File Submitter: jpsalas

File Submitted: 03 Dec 2022

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas
Manufacturer: Bally
Year: 1980
ROM: Link to ROM
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

Based on the table by Bally from 1980.

This is a VPX7.2 table build from scratch by me. I found the playfield and the backdrop at Classic Playfields, it needed to be stiched together, but the quality was good enough for VPX :)

This time I have used other LUT images. There are 10 levels of darkness, but there are 10 normal and 10 warmer effects. Still you should use the day/night slider together with these LUT changes to get the picture that looks better on your monitor.

Thanks to maloti for suggesting this table :) More than "suggesting" he "insisted" that I should make this table, even if there are already 2 nice tables in VPX :) Anyway, it is just a 6mb download :D
I have tested the latest directb2s and it works fine with this table.

The table uses the 7 digits rom as default, but it can be change to the 6 digits at the start of the script.

Thanks for this very nice table! I noticed when playing in DT the player numbers on the backdrop do not light up.  :)

They actually do not light up in the real table either. I added the light numbers, but after watching some videos I saw that there are no lights on the backdrop for those numbers. Just watch this video for example:

Well ... not sure about it.
For all your other tables I set most of them around 5-8 and looks pretty good on my monitor, but this table, I cannot find a good LUT for displaying it.
Not sure why ..
I never use day/night slider for adjusting a table. When playing pinball, I make the room dark (I know what Wiesshund will say :db:  ) and set the table for that level.
But this looks pretty bright. How do I change that ?(sorry for the noob question)

Ja, put your gps in the box and only play pinball after midnight with all lights off and all tables look great

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Spend it on Hookers and Blow
