Hello Everyone!,

 

My name is Jason A.K.A. Spacegoogie. I have been building and playing with emulators since the early days of MAME.

I was in my 20's when I started now I'm in my 40's!

In 2010 I was forced to move from CA to WA and that is when I dropped out of the emulator game and started to get rid of my arcade cabinets   

 

I had been working on a huge Maximus Arcade frontend  Re-Theme called HyperSpace HD right before my move. It took me many months and sooooo many hours to complete,

So I myself understand what a lot of you guys who make these tables and all the extras for us go through and I appreciate  YOU very much!

 

 

Now almost 12  years later! OMG things have come a long way. 

I was let go from my job of almost 11 years about 2 1/2 months ago and what have I been doing the whole time?

LoL why setting up VPX and all the stuff that it can do now of course.

 

With all the free time I have had, setting this thing up was my mission! Boy does it feel good to say MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

 

Still need to add some media but EVERYTHING WORKS!

 

It was a rough time no doubt setting all the things up and uninstalling and reinstalling many times and making more changes to things, thinking outside the box.

 

To everyone who has "Tried everything", If it just isn't working right for you (I'll tell you right now, Then you don't have it setup right)  I do lots of reading, I read and research until I have read everything I can to find a solution to the issue at hand. If I had to start over again then so be it.

Just make copies of your config files, remember you can't damage anything.

 

It was always a small setting I missed or overlooked. I would forget to unlock files I had downloaded, a small mistype, wrong folder, wrong file, screens not setup correctly, the list goes on and on.

If you cross all your t's and dot your i's it will work!

 

I had so many issues, going back many times and doing it step by step again and again and again. 

 

My outcome, I have every table I have wanted up and running, the puppacks I want up and running, my 3 screens up and running!

All because I did everything correctly step by step and took my time.

 

My playfield is a 24" 4k dell

Backglass is a 27" 1080 dell

DMD screen is a Dell 8" Venue tablet ( I know right, How!?)

 

Like I said I'm not working so I'm trying not to spend any money and to just use things I already have.

 

I am able to setup the 3rd screen ( Dell Venue Tablet) as a monitor with the help of a program called Spacedesk. https://www.spacedesk.net/

I have been using it and it is awesome (thinking outside the box). Oh, Nvidia doesn't see the 3rd screen but windows does under the windows display setting, why? no idea but it works.

 

I also used (a lifesaver for me in more than one way) an app called B2S_ScreenResIdentifier.

Lol man do you know me! Tried it on S21 Ultra as topper lmao, it worked but not needed. After I finishing loading and matching the last bit of media I'm done and gonna start playing!
