Avro Arrow Tribute 4:3 VP912 1.0.3

Version: 1.0.3
Category: VP 9.x Originals

Author(s): Todd aka Kruge99,

Description:
In 1958 they mothballed the Avro Arrow but they couldn't make it vanish completely!
The Avro Arrow Tribute Table by Kruge99.

Thanks goes out to:
Bob5453 - for the Dragon VP9 table and playtesting
destruk - for script help and playtesting

- Version 1.0.3 release notes:
updated to VP912 for alpha-transparency
added animated plunger and PBW/Motion adapter support
added JPSalas/Noah's nudge routine
added ball rolling sounds
replaced bumper and rubber hit sounds with ones created by pinuck for Sinbad
modified table physics to play slower, more bouncier like an old style Electro-Mechanical pinball table
rotated and moved the status message box to the top center of the screen

Coming Soon!
=========
(but not too soon) A complete "vector" re-draw of the playfield!

- Version 1.0.2 release notes:
more work on the bomb images to fatten them up a bit more.

- Version 1.0.1 release notes:
fixed the "bomb" images that are above the slingshots (they turned transparent for some reason after one of the Visual Pinball updates to 9.0.7 I think it was)

Hey! Well done Todd smile.gif cool.gif
It looks good & plays well.

Glad to see you got there in the end - I was worried once you got stuck & I was too busy with work to help anymore that it'd never get finished.

Regards,
Dan.

Just played the table a few times. Very well done Kruge99. I like the sounds and that great ball image. I like what you did with the images on the slings.
Looking forward to more.

Thanks Todd, but you don't need to list me as an author and I will explain why..... You asked to use the table as a template and I gave you permission to do whatever you wanted with the layout. To me, this makes this table release completely your table to maintain and control however you want and I only need a line of thanks in the script or something. I'm just happy to be of service. smile.gif

Great table. cool.gif

I understand your feelings Bob, and if you desire, I'll take your name off the authors when I upload the next version - it's inevitable that someone will report some bugs and I'll fix it then. /tips_hat Peace and respect is all I have for everyone here! biggrin.gif

Are those switches still visible intentionally? It's the only thing that stands out on an otherwise solid original.

Personally, I like the switches being visible as it gives the table a more "mechanical" feel and less like a digital photograph. It's a visual preference of mine, and if you wish to disable them, by all means do so! I won't be upset if you turn them off on your downloaded version. It was also mentioned that the yellow/black warning stripes were distracting, so I may darken them in the next update to make them less obvious on the backglass. (I'll just put a second backglass in the .VPT file that people can choose from.) Thanks The McD!!

Best Regards,
Todd.

You should play an old table once in awhile. smile.gif Here is a closeup of the part.

Indeed, old tables really aren't my forte. Never knew those parts actually existed.

You may want to update the table info, plugging it into VPman it thinks its dragon.
