I have been building a cabinet and getting things working.. Have my toys working in VPX and FP.. so next step was to download Pinball FX3 and start on that.. I have followed the guide for installing DOFLinx..  When I start Pinball FX3 thru pinup popper, the table plays fine but no DOFLinx..   So I started DOFLinx in debug=1, started DOFLinx, debug window appeared and then started pinup popper.  Go to FX3 and started a table..  Now DOFLinx works!   (except no backglass and plunger isn't working)  The LED effects work and my solenoids are firing..  I then existed the game, set bebug back to 0, and restarted pinup..  Then no toys in FX3.. Seems to only work when I have the debug window open prior to starting the table..

Get these 2 lines in my log:

No matching size profile for FX3.EXE found - prepare to panic pinball may be broken
FX3 information process failed to recognise the EXE, it may be a new FX3.EXE ..... now disabling the link

I am running the latest versions of everything.. DOFLinx is v7.33

In case you are
There should be no need to run any Pinball Related Software As Administrator (Admin)

I did have it running as admin..  I also noticed I wasn't running the latest version so went ahead and updated it..  Tried it again.. nothing.. Tried it in debug mode.. nothing..  Thurned off debug mode and set DOFLinx.exe to run as admin.. then works.. but this time works without debug mode..  Still no backglass or plunger though.

There was a line in the log file that said Process is not running in admin mode.....  Thats why I re-enabled it..

It sounds like you have a couple of issues.  FIrstly let's get DOFLinx running properly, then we can tackle the backglass and plunger.

So, do you now have the latest version of DOFLinx?

Have you unblocked the EXE and DLL within Windows?

Are you using the Steam version of FX3?

You do not need to run as admin, that message is informative only.  Setup to run not as admin with DEBUG =2, clear the DOFLinx.LOG, then do a single run with FX3.  Post the log and a description of what you start and ran.

I now have it running just fine now...  Also backglass is working..  just no plunger yet..  I purchased mine from Oak Micro's.  It works in VPX and FP...

When I start doflinx in debug mode and right-click to test joystick, nothing happens when pulling the plunger..  I am using a Oak Micro Pinscape AIO board.  When testing in pinscape it works.  DOFConfig is set to port #8 with Z Ball Launcher (and enter key setup).

DOFLinx ini:

PLUNGER_AXIS=Z
PLUNGER_JOYSTICK_NUMBER=1
PLUNGER_KEY=0D
PLUNGER_PULL_POINT=63000
PLUNGER_RELEASE_POINT=33000

I have heard of issues with the incorrect Windows driver that allows the Pinscape to test OK in its utility but fails to be seen as joystick properly by Windows.  DOFLinx needs the joystick as seen by Windows.  You might want to search this out.  I believe the solution was to remove the current driver and either allows Windows to find the correct one or force Windows to, not 100% sure.  Of course, check your backup status before you try anything like this.

I found a post about not calibrating the plunger in pinscape so followed the instructions on deleting the calibration keys in the registry..  Then it worked!

Glad to hear it, and thanks for letting those who follow what the solution was.
