File Name: Demolition Man (Williams 1994)_Bigus(MOD)

File Submitter: bigus1

File Submitted: 14 Aug 2021

File Category: VPX/VPinMAME - MOD Tables

Author(s): Bigus1, Knorr, Kiwi, flupper1, shoopity, mfuegemann, freneticamnesic, Toxie and the VPdevs, Clark Kent, 'Gigalula
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 1994
Permission to MOD?: Unspecified

This beauty from Knorr and Kiwi and friends is fast-paced action.
I've done a makeover, but this was primarily a fix for balls going missing.
I've added a few new ramps and other layout and physics changes plus
enhanced the RGB lighting and extended it to the bumpers.
2.0 has better physics, sound and lighting.
Enjoy :)

Ah, good ol' ball traps - don't you love them :)  I'll bung an invisible wall in there when I have a moment. This one had plenty of traps. It's why I modded it in the first place.

Some objects have no material specified.
Same as the original table.
My PC is low spec and this table has a lot of objects so the editor is slow and hard to edit.

The tilt meter is still not fixed in this table. When you tilt the table, credits are added instead of a tilt warning.

Thanks for another nice tune-up but for some reason the flippers stop working after sometimes two balls, sometimes after just one! desktop mode running vpx 10.7.1

Your 1.1 version doesn't do this

Dunno - works for me in 10.6. I only fixed the tilt as above, so stick with the 1.1 version if that one works for you :)

Ok I think what happened is I had run this after a couple other games but did not close vpx completely. Running it clean from scratch the flippers no longer quit. Thanks again bigus1!

This is the only VPX table where the flippers don't work at all on my setup.

It coins up and starts but flippers are unresponsive.

Anyone know why this might be happening?  There's no errors or anything..

[EDIT] I'm an idiot. I figured it out by deleting file in nvram folder.

Awesome table!!!! Thank you :)

I enjoy playing this table. Thank you for creating it, amazing job! I had a question, in my installation of the table there is no music playing however it does create mechanical sounds. I increased the sound to near max in the ROM (opened coin door and used 8 and 9 keys, then closed the door). No errors are reported while playing (so I assume no music files are needed) and everything else plays great just no music playing, any thoughts for what to try are appreciated. I checked my other tables and the music is playing fine with those just to rule out a more global sound issue. I assume music is supposed to play, at least it was playing for a youtube demo of the table.

Did you check if the rom you have is good? Run setup in your vpinmame folder, click test and find the rom. Click check roms and they should all show as good. If not you need to download a new rom. Most likely the rom set shows missing the sound roms.

Thanks for the reply, I checked the ROM using vpinmame setup and the rom checked out fine. I deleted the rom reference in the registry and re-ran the table and everything sounded fine right away after that. Table sounds and plays great now, thanks for this.
