This process will allow you to add DOF to tables(rom based or non-rom based) that don’t yet support it, while requiring only a rudimentary knowledge of the table script and no knowledge of how DOF actually works. Conceptually, you’ll be creating a “dummy” configuration file that DOF will refer to for its device assignments, and you’ll refer to those assignments at specific locations in the table script for which you want a device to be triggered. For example, if you want a solenoid to fire every time you press the right flipper, you’ll just add “DOF 101, 1” to the part of the script that detects when the flipper is pressed, and “DOF 101, 0” when the flipper is released. Further details explaining the syntax of this example will be provided later in this document.

I just tried it again, and it was nearly instant for me.

For me the small files are slow 4 KB maybe
bigger files are about 5 MB
